1989 State baseball team.
Was loaded, won the SEC
Lost to NC in a six team Regional and did not make the CWS.
Finished 54-14
Numerous players on that team played professionally.
Heartbreaking finish losing to NC in the Regional Championship.

2016 Bama. However I think that with the way UGA was playing at the end of the season in 07 they could have won it all.

2016 is Alabama's best non-title team

I'll start since expansion since that was when I was old enough to follow somewhat.
1. 1995 Florida (they smashed everyone and beat some good teams) they had the unfortunate position of running into arguably the GOAT.
2. 2016 Bama
3. 2011 LSU (I just don't see them scoring enough with JJ at QB to beat 16 Bama or 95 Florida)

USC beat UCLA by 6, Oregon st by 8 and two win Stanford by 3 in 2004 but they were invincible apparantly.

2004 Auburn (complete BS, should be recognized)
2011 LSU
2011 LSU

I'd have to say 2004 Auburn just because Jordan Jefferson was the QB for LSU 2011.
Some people think of 2011 LSU as not having an offense. But other than the 1-1 split with a historically good Bama defense, LSU put up 40 points a game against good competition that season. That’s even in the games that clown Jefferson started.

Actually LSU beat State 19-6 in 2011 in a game that was very tight until late in the fourth quarter.
In fairness to LSU , State had a very strong defense that year.
I still maintain that LSU was the best team in the country in 2011. Definitely the best I saw in person.

The only reason they even won the first game was because we didnt have a kicker worth a shite.

It's not that but when we're talking about them against some of the other really great teams in this league over the last 30 or so years I just don't think they score enough to stay with a couple of the top, top teams.
Against a so-so UGA team in the SECCG they didn't even have a first down in the first half. They scored like 40 points but they had a punt return TD, a INT return TD and two like 20 yard drives after turnovers.

2016 Bama was better then 2018 Bama.
