Coming from LSU I compare ours a lot to UF
whoa. from what i observed, the gameday atmosphere couldn't be more different. lsu is like mardi gras. fla is definitely NOT.

There is not a single bad away game to visit, all unique in there own way
absolutely! never been on a trip i didn't like although state and ky are pretty meh.

Reason I said Arkansas is one of the most beautiful drives I have ever made with friends, very nice people and not a whole lot of trash. Pretty good in game atmosphere as well
absolutely. ark is fantastic

definitely hope they forever keep the game in Fayetteville
i agree but, aside from being in the stadium, little rock had a really interesting atmosphere - everybody tailgating on the golf course. you see a little of everything.

I think the most overrated is Ole Miss by a lot
we're going to part ways there. the grove, the square, nice campus. amazing game day atmosphere, at least for the lsu (superbowl) game.

yes Georgia is overrated
dang that's crazy. if you made me pick gameday only, no hiking or other city activities, uga would be by far the best. not even close. best college atmosphere period.

Well then as I see it, we are looking at three separate but intertwined links here.

City/Campus/Stadium

My points were focused on the campus aspect of it. Starkvegas is much smaller and does not have much of an entertainment scene but the purpose of going to a football game is to enjoy the campus and the stadium primarily.

To me the town/city comes in a distant third of the three above items.

But that is JMO. I agree that all fourteen are cool places and each have their own characteristics that make them that way.

Carry on. This has been fun to read.

that's how these always go. i was including all three. it's not that i have ever had a bad time in starkville. it's just my least favorite road trip, all things considered. and btw, thank you to the msu admin for keeping that campus clean. lsu could definitely take some pointers there. postgame is an atrocity.

Tailgating is good but it is spread around all over the place
that's an interesting point. i have discovered that lsu fans hate the grove because everyone is rubbing elbows. to me, that's what makes the grove so amazing. lsu fans want to be spread out so they can blast their dj/nightclub speaker stack to ear splitting levels. so, it's spread out on purpose. i think both are amazing but, i'm in the minority of lsu fans on that one.

Honestly, the LSU trip used to be fun. I think their lackluster teams have calmed their fanbase down a good bit and now it feel like just any regular SEC away game.

UGA is probably a pretty good trip now.

If you say something positive about LSU on this board, you get a ton of upvotes.

There some truth to this. Miles had really worn everybody out towards the end of his career. Ed is trying to build that enthusiasm back up again.

As far everyone saying Georgia is best road trip, I don't agree. It's up there but LSU and Ole Miss overall is better. I will say though Georgia has the best bars hands down.

I’ve been to every stadium in the SEC except Missouri.

Athens had the nicest fans. Knowledge and cool. Seemed realistic but hungry. Hated Richt.

Gainsville fuching sucks. Panhandle Florida.

Auburn had wayyy more talent than i knew about, not as much as Ole Miss but maybe as much as UGA. It’s close. Actually had a good time with them. Hosted some of the same guys at my tailgate this year for that game.

Tuscaloosa is cool but the sidewalk fans are the absolute worst in the country. Actual students and alums are great people. I had a better time than I thought I was gonna. Tuscaloosa PD are fuching pricks.

Ole Miss had the best tail and a shite load of frat stars. Literally every dude was wearing a polo, khakis and had a Bieber fade.

A&M has a bunch of money and some incredible features. Top notch. Also just general gay vibe to the entire area. Can’t describe it, just felt really fuching gay.

Tennessee was gorgeous. People were for the most part ok.

Arkansas was cool. Baseball is a better trip there though. BBQ and Marshall Tucker band is a good way to spend a spring afternoon.

Starkville is a joke. Cowbells gave me a migraine. Not sure why anyone would be proud of that.

South Carolina was off the fuching chain. Had a great time and played golf/fished up there.

Vandys gameday experience was meh but by far the best nightlife in the SEC.

Kentucky was underrated. Not great but a good time.

Worst away experience I’ve ever had was at Texas. Longhorn fans are some of the most arrogant assholes in this world. My cousin was a KD there and i went and stayed with her and went to a game a couple of years back and wore an LSU polo. Grown arse men were talking shite to a college student. Bunch of douchebags.

What can you do in other SEC college towns that you can't do in StarkVegas?

Even though you were mocked viciously, i see wut you are saying about MSU having superior landscaping in the SEC.

I've visited alot of sec campuses and venues for football games and I know I'm biased towards LSU, but I've never seen anything like it anywhere I've been.
