Auburn aside, I'd say Alabama is up there after the tornado and saban renovations.

Bama, LSU, UGA and slightly below that USC is actually a good draw imo

As an LSU fan, my best away trips in order are:

1) UGA
2a) Tennessee
2b) Ole Mis
3a)TAMu
3b) Auburn
3c) AU
4a) UF
4b) Bama
4c) Arky
5a) MSU
5b) UK
5c) Kentucky
5d) Vandy

Have not done Mizzou or USC yet (usc got moved to La a few years ago).

Let me preface by saying i have had GREAT experiences at all stadiums win or lose. They only bad experience I ever had was at UF and it was not even at the stadium, just some drunk fans at a Publix before the game. If you get mad at random drunk fans then CFB is not for you.

If you are ok being heckled (dude it’s a game enjoy it) then all fans will laugh and joke and share everything with you. I’ve had Bama fans treat me like family, and I mean that.

My favorite things:
TAMu was fun, colt like, but fun. The midnight yell thing was also cool to see, and saw em off
Ole Miss was cool, the grove was neat, but the “are you ready?” Was awesome
AU, beautiful campus, and the eagle flying over our heads was great.
Arky- Not going to lie, their first down “woo” thing gave me chills the first few times.
Ten, tailgating with the vol navy on my 21st birthday might be one of my all time favorite memories.
UGA all I really remember was tailgating at the parking garage near the stadium and doing beer bongs off the second floor, then watching the football team rock the bus. That’s a lot of damn weight to rock the bus!

Athens is a fun town. It’s too bad it’s filled with Georgia fans

I love it when they bark at you when you're walking to take a piss, this after you've been tailgating in a mixed AU/UGA group right next to them all day. Retards.

No, I don't go to baton rouge anymore. Fans are arseholes.

LSU fans will treat you with respect and open arms as long as you reciprocate. Come in with an attitude or start some shite and you will get some on you.

You must have been the latter and got your little feelings hurt.

Baton Rouge is a fricking shithole and that stadium is 20 years behind in terms of amenities.

Best I’ve been to - Fayetteville and Athens.

Worst would be Tuscaloosa (traffic) and both Columbias (overall SHITHOLE in MO and SC there’s nothing to do.)

Going to Auburn this year pretty pumped about that.

Starkville is far from the best. I came here from out of State, but this notion that it is a shithole has always baffled me. The campus is so well upkept and clean. From my experience, most of the people that shite talk it haven’t been here in the last 5 years. The school and city is in a huge growing stage right now. I have friends from Oxford that love visiting and vice versa. It’s not the same atmosphere as many of the “party schools/cities”, but it’s a fun change of pace imo. What I’ve come to learn however, is that if you can’t have a good time at any of the SEC towns, then the town likely isn’t the problem, it’s probably you.

Athens > Baton Rouge but LSU tailgating > UGA tailgating

LSU tailgating is just different and generally welcoming to opposing fans. I relate it to why people visit New Orleans; for the cultural aspect such as food. You will eat lots of great cajun food at an LSU tailgate.

But Athens bar scene is unmatched outside of Nashville.

LSU was a great time and I'm looking forward to going again this year. The best part was the two LSU frats who decided to beat on each other. 40 people deep all purple and gold.

That cost UGA a ton of money. They broke the leveling equipment and more on every single one of those buses. I think it was around 40k per bus in damage lol.

Georgia and Auburn have two of the most beautiful campuses in the SEC
wow. i found this to be quite the opposite. i would put uga and auburn squarely in the middle of the pack at best, along with bama. i just wasn't impressed at all. ole miss is much more impressive imo and i wouldn't put ole miss at the top

as someone who lives in Nashville and in-laws are UT, what?

Knoxville is mid tier at best and stadium experience is near the bottom. JMO

it was ok for us. we've been multiple times and it's not that fans were rude, they just kept to themselves mostly. having said that, i did enjoy the art museum and the arboretum. i would definitely want to see those again. we wanted to go to the raptor center but there was a reason we couldn't and i can't remember what it was.

yeah, the grounds are well kept but it's lipstick on a pig. state is absolutely at or near the bottom of the sec in aesthetics. i've been to every campus at least once except for missouri and scar. also, starkville is lame. having said that, state has really ramped up the atmosphere. much improved and a credit to the sec.
