Bringing up facts is butthurt? I'm just shooting down a "Richt should be higher argument".

Yes. He still lost to Auburn with both said QB and RB

1. Miles for obvious reasons
2. Saban.. always good coaching.. should of recruited a kicker
3. Franklin did good with Vandy
4. Petrino
5. Richt
6. Spurrier
7. Mullen back to back bowl seasons at MSU, but underperformed. Some due to Oline injury, some due to bonehead playcalls.
8. Chizik… decent job, terrible defense, worst defending NC team ever
9. Muschamp… in over his head, acts like a buffoon on sideline
10. Dooley lulz, gets a pass because of injuries, but team is not on same page and that is a coaching/discipline problem.
11. Joker Phillips… Team improved as the year went on, has a long way to go.
12. Houston Nutt

I get tired of coaches of crappy teams who do decent winning coach of the year.

I get that Vandebilt was more competitive. However, a COY should not lose 5 games on the last play. Got to win a few of those to be ahead of the other coaches.

Well, then it wasn't much of a loss was it?
Posted on 11/30/11 at 11:49 am to CNB
then we lost to carolina because of our qb and richt should get credit for going 11-1

quote:Chizik played a harder schedule than Mullen, had a better record, beat Mullen head to head and had worse talent and experience than MSU (according to most MSU posters on here). So how can you rank them in that order?

8. Chizik… decent job, terrible defense, worst defending NC team ever
FWIW, neither deserves much commendation for the jobs they did this year.

Yeah going from a 5th year senior to a sophomore who never played a full game is a smooth transition.

Never fails with this group.

Great! Give him coach of the year when he takes a better job and goes 12-0 one day. He's obviously a good coach, not saying he isn't, but Miles has done what he's done on a much bigger stage.

Seriously? Why? Because his team didn't completely suck? Come on. Miles had more off the field issues to deal with than any of those guys while leading to LSU to probably its best season in the program's history. In case anyone has forgotten, LSU dominated the first half of the season with a QB that barely even plays now. I don't even see where it is close this year.
