Too many unproven backs.
UGA > LSU > Bama
AU with Mason and CAP will be really good too.
I like you. You have more optimism about Auburn than most of our fans
If we can have something that resembles a passing game, our RBs should be pretty solid. Cameron Artis Payne has been incredible in the spring and will be a true threat. Tre Mason ran for 1000 yards behind the little sisters of the poor we had at OLine. Also there are ridiculous rumors that Isaiah Crowell could come to town (fingers crossed we are at a lack of thugs)
That said
1-UGA
2-Bama
3-LSU
If Jeremy hill isn't back, no question. If he does come back it will be hard to tell who has the upper hand as I believe that Bama will have at least one great freshman to pair with Yeldon due to 1/4 is a good ratio.

Best group of running players... obviously A&M, since we return the SEC's leading rusher, Malena averaged a ton of yards per carry, Brandon Williams is a top 5 back in the league easily, and on Trey Williams is an x factor, and will be a special player. At the end of the day, Alabama probably had the best rushing attack last year, but we crushed them on rushing yards per game. So running backs wise... A&M doesn't necessarily have the best group, but players that rush the ball? A&M by a mile.

you could have just left your post to that.

Dawg, you can't keep expecting LSU to beat up Alabama for you right before you play them.

UGA's running backs are not the best. Gurley is top notch, but Keith Marshall is mediocre to above average at best. Bama's stable over the years has easily surpassed that of USC's back in the mid 3000s.
So, you've discovered time travel? Did you have to go so far into the future? Couldn't you have stopped around 2015 and let me know how well our backs would be doing? 2020 even?
Eta: I agree with you completely about Gurley being an excellent back and Marshall being average in comparison to other backs around the SEC. But Georgia fans like the whole Gurshall concept and they are gonna ride it ad nauseam.

By the mid 3000s, Alabama will be competing with ET life forms for the intergalactic CFB championship.

With regard to the new comers, they've each played exactly one year of college ball.
If you follow recruiting at all (and I'm guessing you don't), you'd know that B. Williams was rated higher than any back signed by a SEC team in 2011, and Yeldon was ranked exactly one spot ahead of T. Williams in 2012 (which didn't deter Bama from offering him).
But please, continue trivializing two guys who could easily play for any team in the country.

You might be right. Be we will have figured-out a way to resurrect the HBC by then and will have cloned him so that he will be in the hunt for the Intergalactic Championship as well. Instead of the fun-and-gun he'll be coaching the rocket-and-run.

And what's the issue with that? It's pretty much a perfect scenario. We don't burn either guy out, split carries, change of pace/different running style. If one guy gets hot then you keep him in there.

Marshall had the same avg per carry as Lacy , only JM had better avg. Marshall is clearly better than most backs in the Sec , and on equal footing with Yeldon & Gurley, he's just not a between the tackles back. That might change now, with a year of workouts. Is there a back that's equal in the open field?
