For me it comes down to 5 teams
1995 Nebraska
2001 Miami
2004 USC
2005 Texas
2009 Alabama

I would give the nod to the 2005 Texas team because they beat one of the teams on this list who returned most of their best players for another year

Ole Miss 2015

Beat themselves 3 times against all odds. Songs will be written about them.

A track named "38-10" will be the first song.

I would say 1995 Nebraska except I was still pretty young back then and I only remember bits and pieces about watching that team live. For me, 2008 Florida was the most impressive CFB team I've ever seen. They were absolutely nuking SEC competition after the Ole Miss loss. 63-5 against Kentucky, 49-10 against Georgia, 51-21 against LSU, 56-6 against South Carolina and those are just the scores I remember off the top of my head. Florida's defense was a turnover creating machine and the offense was incredibly efficient with Tebow and Harvin and all of the great weapons that they had.

This and its not even close. After losing to Ole Miss, they were completely and totally unstoppable.

Probably the 1971 Nebraska team. Oklahoma was the only team that came within 25 points of them and Oklahoma was a great team too!

2008 Florida was saved by the fact that OU played in the Big XII championship over UT
Texas would have given Florida a much better game

Probably the Maine Black Bears. They came in beat a vaunted team lead by hall of famer Sylvester Croom at our place. And that years State team was loaded.

I hated Miami as a kid because of the whole Cotton Bowl thing
I enjoyed that game as much as any game when my university was not playing
