He picked stats that have UT in the top. Didn’t chose runs (LSU #2), didn’t chose Average Runs per game (LSU #1) which is coincidentally how baseball games are won. He also failed to mention that statistically LSU has the best defense in the country as well.

We will find out how good LSU really is now that SEC play begins.

23 championships in the conference.

Those don't count IMO, towards this list, because non of these have been accomplished in the SEC.

The fact that LSU has had so many run rule games so far this year, their hits and home runs would be much higher. Pretty impressive SEC dominance.

I would like to see every stat based on 9 innings per play. These run rule games mask the fact that home teams only bat 5 times.

I just want to wait until a few weeks into conference play. OOC can be deceiving honestly.

I don't put much into pre conf stats but one that did catch my attention this past week was team batting average. I believe at the time State was .302 and they were LAST in the SEC. That one most definitely caught my attention and says alot about the current "health" of SEC baseball. It's going to be a great year.

I've been saying, regarding the strength of the League, that the brackets at Hoover will be harder than those in Omaha. LSU starts off playing 2 of the Top 10 in the first 3 weeks. Every team is going to have a similar stretch, which is why the strong probability is that the League championship will come down to the last 1-2 weeks.

1985 State would have won the NC if not for some incredibly bad fortune.
But there in lies the difficulties in winning a NC. You have to have a really good team and catch some timely breaks and avoid bad luck.

It says a lot when the worst team in the league to date is State.

I think Paul won one too chief.

I thoroughly enjoy seeing tenn crumble every single year in baseball, football and basketball and has nothing to show for anything at the end when it really counts.

So far it looks like LSU is clear #1 with a bit of distance behind them to number 2.
