Something I just looked up. Bryant's record against Notre Dame was 0-4-0. His record against Texas was 0-3-1.

Alabama has underperformed against Missouri. Alabama has only won 78% of their games against Missouri. It is a source of shame that Missouri has won even a single game against Alabama.

Why are you thinking about Bryant's record vs Notre Dame at 3:04 on a Sunday?

Actually Alabama has done pretty well against Mizzou with an all time record of 5-2-0. Of course Bryant was 1-2-0 against them.

I remember the 1975 game on national television when a 6-5-0 Mizzou team gutter stomped top ranked Alabama 20-7.

We were actually #2 at the time, which doesn't make the loss any less egregious. After the game, the very first of the season, Bryant publicly stated that Alabama wasn't good enough to go to a bowl game that year. No one came within 11 points of beating us for the remainder of the regular season. The Tide finished 11-1 and ranked #3 with a victory over #8 Penn State in the Sugar Bowl.
