No doubt Fisher is the better option at head coach over 0, but I would rather LSU go with an up and comer instead of a head coach with his best in the rear view mirror.

I didn't realize just beating us is now the LSU standard. You used to aspire for more.

FACT: Les Miles hung around an extra year because he beat A&M. This was a bad decision.

FACT: Coach O got the permanent job despite losing to UF in 2016 because he beat A&M in the last game. Many think this was a bad decision for the program.

FACT: LSU pursued Jimbo during this time period but because of poor decisions due to wins over Aggy he was left twisting in the wind. This made it easier for A&M to poach him.

It is clear as day that our losses to LSU have helped shape what that program is today and what the A&M program could become.

Would we get Jimbo for 3.5 mil per year or 7.5 mil per year?

Last week, it was economic and political factors, this week it is over inflation of a yearly beat down of marginal aggie teams that is the factor. I am confused or is it you that is confused?

No, the question is will Bama pony up a 10 yr fully guaranteed $9 mil/yr contract when Saban retires to pry Jimbo out of Aggieland

Orgeron winning anything of significance is hilarious. It's amazing that LSU fans accept this.

Correct, he hasn’t beaten anyone with a pulse since being at LSU. Auburn maybe.

Why are you obsessed with LSU?

Shouldn't you be asking Tennessee about their coaching change instead?

I remember Ed Orgeron keeping a Heisman winner out of the endzone in his first game as head coach at LSU - the same year that same Heisman winner put up 60+ on Jimbo.

Ok, I will go one at a time.

LSU made decision to keep Les at halftime of A&M game he was winning:

Coach O didn't look like he would get the permanent job after he lost to UF and before he beat A&M:

LSU pursed Jimbo Fisher:

He's 52 and seems to be really energized. I don't think his best is behind him. Time will tell if that brings FSU level success to A&M or not though.

Jumbo hands down. He will raise the bar at ATM. Fertile recruiting in Texas. He will have them at a high level in a few seasons. Hopefully Ed O proves all the nay sayers wrong. Doing well with in state recruits just needs to bring home the very elite in the class.

O, but barely. Only because we get to the next great coach faster. I don't think either sniffs a title in their current job, and O is cheaper and more entertaining. Jimbo is kind of depressing, I'm expecting a complete mental breakdown within 2 years.

After seeing Jimbo get shown up on the sidelines by Jamies Winston, I lost all respect for him. If a guy you suspended shows up in full uniform on the sideline and you don’t have safeguards in place to stop that from happening, what else are you not controlling?
