'Those two defenses, LSU and Alabama.. the only offense that has a shot against either of them is the one run by Drew Brees'

Drew Brees MIGHT....MIGHT... lead 1 touchdown drive against Alabama. Then they would adjust and have him thrown off all night long. Bama wins it big.

Drew Brees wouldn't even get a committable offer to play at Bama.

Sadly, you are correct. According to Saban's measurables Drew Brees is too short to play QB.
He probably was only a three star coming out of high school.

Based on history, Saban would offer a washed-up has-been over Drew Brees.

That was pretty funny.
I disagreed with a lot of what they said but this may surprise you. They said the long layoff gave neither team an advantage over the other but I think it favors LSU. I think this long layoff does CFB a disservice by creating sloppy play. There will be a tendency for more mistakes and TO wise LSU has a history of being a lot more opportunistic. Advantage LSU.
But I also don't see how any of them can say JJ has a better chance to make a difference than AJ. AJ is not the best arm in the country but he's a LOT better than JJ at slinging the rock. And with all this time to prepare I doubt seriously that we're going to let JJ run the option or scramble for extra yards.

You think with all this time to prepare LSU won't gameplan to make sure the option works? Bama gameplanned for Jefferson as much as LSU did.

"No team not playing on Sundays can beat this Buckeye team."
Good luck to both teams, stay healthy
