re: Why didn't miles use 2 tightends to help the OL protect JJ?
Posted by cottoncandyman on 1/12/12 at 5:35 pm
Miles doesn't adjust very well.

Is this sarcasm?
LSU goes 14-0. That's really not up to debate even.

That's not what anyone is saying...

"Les Miles has competence."
re: Bottom Line - LSU could have played perfect and still lost
Posted by cottoncandyman on 1/12/12 at 3:45 pm
Do you know what lose means? It means you have fewer points than the other team. There is NO WAY you could play perfect but not accomplish that.

They could've adjusted. But they were ready for JJ.
Starting CB next year?
Posted by cottoncandyman on 1/12/12 at 7:35 am
I can't picture Matheiu going against No. 1 WRs. Who starts?
re: Was 2011 LSU the best team in school history?

Morris Claiborne- All-American; Predicted Top 5 Draft Pick and first CB off the board.
Tyrann Matheiu- All-American; Heisman Finalist
I know Alabama has the stats, but it's hard to argue with those accolades. And anyone who watched Nov. 5 knows Eric Reid is amazing as well.

It's more 75-25 our guy catches it.
re: 16-30-1 83 Yrds over final 2 games. A fitting end to stellar career

I remember people saying that JJ could be a Heisman Finalist before the season
re: Let em go!!

You do realize the point of developing younger players is so that you can win once they're seniors right?
re: Has anyone looked at this? CFB stats.

What would you have put if Lee hadn't played? A suspended player isn't dressed out waiting to go in.

By 15 minutes of fame being over I don't mean he'll never be heard from again...Obviously his nickname alone will cause people to continue to make a big deal when he makes plays.
What I'm saying is he WILL NOT be a heisman candidate next year, not even close.
Will he make plays? Yes Will it be every single game as it was this year? Probably not.
What he did this year was flukish, even for someone of his ability.
You're right. This ENTIRE season, not a SINGLE coach ever once tried to gameplan for TM7. NO ONE ever thought he was good enough to have to be game planned against. ESPECIALLY not Dana Holgorsen.
re: LSU trailed only 6 min with Lee. Why in God's name mess with that?

When ur oline is dominated like we were monday not much will work
I wouldn't mind Lee playing like Jay Cutler.
re: Why no call outs of the OL --- they got DOMINATED all night...

The O-Line played smart. They knew that if they blocked, then JJ would throw the ball. They knew to make sure that didn't happen or else we were screwed.
