Let them transfer but make them sit for 5 or six games before they can play

Drink was way out of line.
Especially standing next to a 250 million dollar renovation mostly paid by Corporate support. For a state that has the Chiefs and Cardinals, he gets alot of support for not winning anything yet.
He's just selling himself to PSU who really needs an upgrade in their NIL approach.
It was way out of line, agreed.
It was disrespectful to the people who have stepped up big for him. To me, the comments were embarrassing, and an insult to the Mizzou fan base.
It was made worse by the fact that he was struggling to defeat a really bad Mississippi State team at home in front of a sellout crowd.

Well since you put it that way that makes sense, and if that is the case let him go

He’s a good program builder. But he’s not some elite offensive mind to the point where he’s outgrown Missouri. Dude has had bad QB play every year except 2023. That’s on him. If this is true he’s showing poor character imo

Perhaps, by speaking about it, as he has other issues, he will get what he wants? See new football building, new North EZ, new indoor facility, NIl money, etc!

Toward the end of last night’s game, the announcer said he had spoken to Drink about all of the interest from other schools.
Drink told him he has enough personal money. He is looking for more corporate buy-in and feels like it’s missing in Missouri.
About when during the course of the broadcast? I'd like to hear it for myself. Otherwise, I'm skeptical he talked about it in terms of actually leaving.
If he's talking about needing more NIL, he's probably not wrong. If Mizzou intends to actually compete.

CoPoraTE bUy In ...
He said, Missouri has 7 Fortune 500 companies..and NONE of them advertise here, as in the stadium.
He's negotiating, albeit publicly, for some advertising..and raising awareness of any movers and shakers that may have been watching...allegedly..as the announcers brought this up, Drink WILL BE ASKED at this next formal presser, and he can expand.

So more conjecture. I guess we'll actually know something when we actually know something. In the meantime we'll have to try to figure it out. I Wonder if we can turn it into a drinking game

He has every right to shop himself, but I’m tired of his constant whining. Mizzou has been good for and to him.
Let him walk.
Seems like some Mizzou and Ole Miss fans are starting to realize this isn't actually a nEw eRa where they're real natty contenders, as some have previously stated.

There are a lot of Fortune 500 companies in Missouri that don't donate to Mizzou they donate to Wash U... UMSL...SLU...
In St Louis

When Damon Wilson went into the portal, Mizzou was not on his list. Drink took a bag in the house and came out with Wilson. Drink gave a backup QB with 56 college completions 1.5 million. Coleman got Luther Burdens chip deal, so he cost the program $0. Ahmad Hardy bought 3 horses and a house for his mom with his deal. He also has a top 10 transfer portal rating and has never lost a player to a higher NIL offer.
Does that really sound like there isnt enough corporate support? I'd like to see his nerdy arse close deals without the bags.

Drink is a solid coach.
But I get Mizzou fans having sour grapes.

Hardy has a 2 year deal in place when he came to us in the portal. He's only been with us 1 year. He will play next year and then to the NFL. Im guessing he gets the "potato chip" deal in 2026. I won't explain it, but its a big deal. Originally developed with a grocery store chain for Luther Burden.

No sour grapes here.
I predicted 8-4 at the beginning of this season so it’s not about the record, it’s about his constant bitchy whining about what he doesn’t have. Especially when he is standing in a massive reno project with what he said was his best team ever.
We lost to Bama with a 1st string qb that Drink chose. We lost to Vandy because of horrible play calling. Win those and this team would be playoff bound. So it’s not about more money. It’s not about team talent. It’s about his failures.
