Wasn’t it La-Monroe that had the fallout with Ole Miss last year because the game was called for poor field conditions after OM didn’t pull out the tarp?

I think the SEC has more tarpgates than all the other conferences combined.

Tony V and BaseVOLS vs everybody.

Confidence.
Swagger.
Slay.

Bombs and Batflips. That’s what Tennessee does.

Pretty hilarious that it is the hillbillies who act ghetto. Quit acting like NBA players, it's ruining the sport.

Stupid arse Vitello is from St. Louis, so he pretty much doesn't know better.

The SEC network website no longer lists these on the schedule page.

They changed the website and it now sucks.

Tennessee has the most wins since 2020. Something appears to be working for Vitello. Where were they before he got there?

I am on the opposite side. It's fun to have a villain in the sport. And do they take it too far and act ridiculous? Sure, but it's better than having no fun and playing with a stick up your butt.

I don't mind good baseball, I do mind the antics. Tennessee is in a much better place now, and Vitello can coach, but do you have to act like jr high school kids?

It's not just Tennessee, but here you are bragging about it.

So if you don't act like an arse you have a stick up your arse? That is the definition?

I don't have a problem with showing emotion, but when you talk shite directly to the competition, or carry the bat half way down first base line before flipping it, you are showing up your competitor and a poor sport.

I am in the Nick Saban school of winning and losing with class, and I guess I am in the minority.

Georgia 16-1

The Florida Gators have lost 5 games and have yet to play a top 25-ranked opponent all year long (until today); yet, they're ranked #10.

The Dawgs are off to their best start in 50 years (16-1, with 6 of those wins being run-ruled)....lead the nation in total homeruns......have hit 6 grand slams in the past 6 games. Granted, our SOS ain't that great, but neither is that of #24 Texas Tech (who lost to #23 Texas).

So, why isn't UGA at least ranked in the top 25? After we sweep Kentucky this coming weekend (formerly ranked in the top 25), I'm sure some knuckleheads in the voting department will wise up and move us in.

Otherwise, we'll just have to go out and win this CWS on the eve of our 34th anniversary of winning our last CWS.

There’s a generation of kids playing right now that love the bat flips and back and forth. It’s not going away.

No, there is a fine line and I am sure it varies with each person.

Bat flip, celebrating with your team and fans, showing emotion coming off the mound, and clapping back if the other team pops off = good for me.

I agree with this which is why I said they look ridiculous at times.

One of these is not like the others. Showing emotion is great, showing up the opponent is not. Put the bat down the same way every time.

What would you say to a fan if their team started out really well the first 3 weeks of the season in football but hadn't played anyone and they started bitching about not being ranked?

Please apply that to yourself right now.

And why do you have to compare yourself to Florida? You sound like Diddly before SEC play in basketball.

I mean...UF has been pretty bad..several losses to inferior opponents and a few near misses

and before you turn it on SC...we have done nothing to justify top 25 either. We lost 2 games to the only real team we played. UGA has a right to be a little upset. They started out hot

You are trying to put me in a position to defend Florida which I hate. I would be happy if we weren't ranked, just like in basketball.

I will just say that mid week games almost don't matter at all, but it is always relative to what everyone else is doing, and what the writers think of your team in general. If they don't think you to be on the level of other teams, you are going to have to beat some good teams in order to rise in the rankings. What matters most is performance on the weekend. But I do think we were penalized this week for previous losses including mid week losses as our schedule is just numerically interior to those teams around us, but we have still not lost a weekend series.

Also what is a near miss? That might be the most ridiculous part of your post.
