If Baseball America thinks that Florida has a better team than Auburn right now, then they just need to stop making polls.

Yeah 4 midweek losses already and a 1-5 conference record doesn’t really scream top 25

That pitching staff is ridiculous.

I watched the LSU/UGA games in person and I will say that UGA's pitching staff is un-fricking-believable.

Still upset we couldn't pull out the series but that was a fun weekend and some really good baseball watching.

Again if you have watched any of LSU's games since the Texas series you would realize that hitting is the issue for LSU right now.

LSU is 11th in the league in ERA
LSU is 9th in the league in OP BA
LSU is 13th in the league in batters K’ed
LSU is 10th in the league in runs allowed
LSU is 11th in the league in earned runs allowed
LSU is 13th in the league in walks allowed

Nah, Again hitting

While LSU isn’t a great hitting team, the offensive numbers are better than the pitching numbers overall.

Those pitching numbers are not good and are a very big reason for LSU’s struggles. LSU scored 7 runs yesterday but lost. I don’t think hitting was the issue.

Did you just gloss over the other two games this past weekend?

In the last 3 weekend series LSU has averaged 4.8 runs per game and allowed on average 3.3 runs per game. This includes one game where LSU scored 16 runs on a depleted Kentucky staff. If you take out that one outlier LSU has averaged putting up 3.5 runs in those 8 games.

Damn LSU is a bad weekend away from falling out of the rankings completely. Weren't they ranked first early in the season?

I don't expect LSU to win the series in Starkville next weekend and they'll probably bump us out because of it.

I am glad that they are getting these back to back weekends on the road against #6 and #2 out of the way early in the year.

Again, you can read box scores if you want but LSU has given up 1, 4, 2, 0, 2, 9 in SEC play thus far. Pitching has not been an issue at all.

Since SEC play began, pitching has improved tremendously and hitting has gone in the crapper. In SEC games, LSU’s team BA is .239 (8th) and their team ERA is 2.95 (3rd)

Far from a boomer and far from taking everything seriously. I just like shitting on UT’s shortcomings due to how obnoxious their fans are. I’m the antiSerraneaux.

And you are correct in that Carolina is straight garbage this year. It’s going to be a few before Kingston can hopefully fix the mess down there. It’s downright brutal.

A&M started unranked and is now cracking the top 10. They couldn't keep us down long. Our bats are finally matching out pitching. It's happening just in time for SEC play. The Tigers of the north are next. Gotta keep that 1 next to our name in the standings.

Just thinking the same thing. LSU many times starts slow but seemingly always finishes like a bat out of hell.

I didn't think baseball polls hit you that hard for losing a series on the roads against a top team.

LSU has the problem of the usual slow start combined with a pretty front loaded schedule of 3 road series against ranked teams. We have some big problems, but we'll bounce back.

Probably bit of course correction since they held Lsu so high early on.

Probably should hold judgement on Georgia until they play somebody.
