D1 has better coverage because they are one of few national outlets that cover the sport and they cover the sport more than the rest. However, D1 baseball is still basically two guys doing all the rankings, Kendall and Aaron Fitt (used to work for BA and is a huge geek, but I digress). Regardless, it's still the opinions of two people, so I don't know why people get so upset at their rankings. Kendall has had his own personal biases for years, used to get called out on it when he still worked at Rivals and would participate on their college baseball message board.

He came to a game at Baum last year and they got him on the broadcast to talk about his takes and little about how he gets around to seeing so much. Was a pretty good little interview. Very informed guy.
Doesn't hurt that he's always seemed to have great respect for DVH and, by proxy, the Arkansas program. He's usually the last media guy to fall off our bandwagon. Damn near called our championship last year in the preseason.

The issue with D1 and BA rankings are that those websites are so hit/subscription based that they have site traffic built into their rankings. Teams like FL, LSU, the Texas teams, and the east/west coast teams will get favor so their fans (or haters) use the site more. I don't blame them for doing it, but you have to take their rankings with a grain of salt.
