Remember that time Texas lost a home regional to its own directional school?

My expectation is that we make the tournament (which isn't that much of an accomplishment). Anything beyond that would be icing on the cake.

If we don't make the tournament, then we will almost certainly make a coaching change.

I expect State to be an Omaha caliber team. Lofty expectations, but the fanbase is excited about the new coach and the commitment to have a baseball NIL Budget comparable to the top teams in the Country.

We have most of our team coming back this season. I'm excited. I really like watching Hunter Elliott pitch. I'm glad we get another season. Hopefully we have found a few more arms to go along with his. We have the bats, that's for sure.

Can you guys help out anyone in the big ten with baseball? They all suck. But they have decent hockey clubs

Michigan had a good team and almost won it all a few years ago IIRC.

Seems like he has been at Ole Miss forever.

Yeah, but he missed both 2023 and 2024 with a season ending injury. I'm sure he got at least 1 medical redshirt. He loves baseball so I'm glad to see him play more.

And just like that, he isn't such a Big 10 guy all of a sudden.

I am hoping to see a larger jump in Bamas ability to compete in the SEC. I think Vaughn is a good coach so hopefully we see a steady climb in competitiveness to the point where Bama makes it to CwS once every 4/5 years. I don’t think that’s unreasonable expectations.

How’s everybody else feeling about baseball this year?
I foresee LSU having toal run of the place with CTV and CKO out of the way.

LSU will still be the program to beat and I think Vanderbilt could make a serious run. Tennessee will still be good, even without Vitello.
Outside of those programs, the proverbial field is wide open in the SEC.
