LSU is dead last in the SEC at #105. Next to last is Mississippi State at #74.

Also, the non-power leagues are rated incredibly poorly nowadays. Unless I'm missing something, it seems like VCU at #49 is the second highest non-power team after only Gonzaga. Then the 3rd highest non-power team is Wichita State at #59.

76 teams in the tournament now.
LSU still won't get in?

Apparently, it could expand to 104 teams, and LSU still wouldn't get in.

I’m not sure what this thread is even about. Gathering it’s about a basketball season in which zero games have been played?

Supposedly teams previously had to be in roughly the top 45 of the power rankings to get into the tourney due to the autobids.

Now, teams will have to be in more like the top 53 due to 8 more bids. LSU's rating isn't even close to good enough. Not counting the PAC-12 as a major conference (although Torvik does count them as a major conference for whatever reason), LSU is the 3rd worst major conference team ahead of only Georgia Tech and Penn State.
