Congrats to Barry Odom and Purdue on beating Illinois this past Saturday.

I can support that. Anyone beating kU or the school in the communist state of ill annoy gets a tip of the hat.

And yet, I'm sure it has not slowed down his mouth any

I think Barry's got one upset in his squad this year. Iowa vs Purdue is an interesting matchup.

Barry is an idiot. Should have stayed at UNLV, get more wins, and earn a job with a decent chance of winning. To take the Purdue job when you are not an ACE recruiter and you don't have a 30 million NIL bag is career suicide. He may have gotten an Arkansas offer and had more talent to work with.

He'll make some G6 team a decent DC in a couple of years.

I agree with everything except Barry is an idiot. I think at the time, he though that this was his last chance at a Power 5 job. The Arkansas job was bound to come up so I do agree with you but you gotta think that the Arkansas people didn't want a retread hire either.
His most natural position would have been the DC at Oklahoma IMO. Big school that needs a good DC with less headache of turning around a bad program.

Venebles isnt going let someone else set the front much less come in and change it to a 3-4. Brent will be the DC until he is fired....which could be right after they lose in Columbia in 7 weeks.

A coach that can't recruit goes to a program that can't afford players. That's the definition of dumb.

The definition of DUMB is someone like drydock coming on a fan forum and bashing anyone and everyone, simply because he is not as successful as they are.

Fully retired, with 2 homes paid for and a very comfortable 401k on top of military retirement. I'm secure enough in myself that I feel no need to pump sunshine up anyone's pants leg.

Mizzou has racked up a few "final straw" Ws in its time in the SEC.

The reason I called Barry and Idiot is because he knew he wasn't an ace recruiter from his time at Mizzou. Any Blue Chip player in his area will choose between ND, OSU and Michigan ( and now maybe Indiana), so now the NIL bag comes into play, oops that's empty.
If he keeps winning at UNLV, his name co.es up for the Arkansas job because they waited so long and were desperate. Iowa State would have been better. This year, Colorado may be looking, NC State may be in play, Maryland will fire Lockley. Dan Mullen is at UNLV to win and Rehab. But when you are in rehab mode, you have to be selective about your next P4 move. There won't be a 3rd chance.

I see now. You are an extremist for effect. You like to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
BTW, Barry probably bought his homes outright.
