Meh. Mizzou is good in football when they have a decent QB. It’s been a while. They were a tough out when they had Brad Smith/Chase Daniels/Drew Lock. I can’t name their QB now.

Compare schedules. Pittman hasn’t killed it but played much tougher schedules.

And Pittman won 9 last year. Drink is capping out at 6.

Missouri played Tenner, Georgia and Kansas State. That’s tougher than Arkansas’ best three opponents.

I was talking about over their tenures.

Not much of a difference there either. 2020 we drew Bama and LSU while playing Georgia and the rest of a surging East.

Probably so. From outside perspective, they seem like the same guy. Records back that up. I also think it is tougher to win at Missouri than Arkansas, so Harry Potter gets a little bump up for that.

By this point in Odom’s tenure, it was becoming apparent that he could not recruit at Mizzou the way we needed him to be competitive. He left the cupboard pretty bare for Drink, versus Odom who inherited Pinkel’s program. I’d say this is a bit apples and oranges. Drink does need to demonstrate in year 4 that he can elevate Mizzou beyond a .500 mark.

I think Arkansas fans have convinced you all of that, but the reality is that Mizzou and Arkansas have pretty similar floors and ceilings in this era. Plenty of evidence to support that.

I don`t thin k people realize a good head coach needs to
be able to recruit and hire good assistants. The fact that
Drink has lost more than he has won tells me Odom couldn`t recruit and in college thats a must.So ODOM sucked.

Odom was good at player development but bad at recruiting. Drink is great at recruiting but the transfer portal is about to sink all of his efforts.

I do believe Odom would have been a better long term play for Mizzou. Similar to how Mark Stoops is running Kentucky.

Odom had an NFL qb. Drink, not so much.
