These are supposed to be predictions, not pretending future seasons will be a reflection of past seasons.

And you're confused by this how?

What do you think predictions are based off of?

These guys get paid to come up with stuff in the offseason to fill space on a website. Means nothing.

We do the same thing on tRant, for free. And it also means nothing.

Still fun to talk about.

Lazy speculation with almost no research.

LSU's not going to have the season it did in 2019(likely no team ever will), but it's pure ignorance to pretend that LSU is not trending upwards.

Compounding that is Alabama's downward trend.

Hot seat? No, not unless we are just clearly outclassed in those 3 games.

But yes, I would be a little disappointed with 9-3. My hope is for 10-2 or better, would show recruits a clear progression and step forward.

Can't wait for the season though, now that it's looking more and more like we'll have a semi-normal regular season.

How do you trend upwards from 15-0?

Mainly because they had the bar so ridiculously high

Honestly i don't get the love for Auburn.

That offense sucks. It is going to keep sucksing

Brown and Davidson being gone is going to make that defense a lot less intimidating to literally everyone.

THey also lost their best corner. So their DL gets worse and their back end.

We have the best WR tandem in Chase and Marshal

but Waddle while electric hasn’t had the production of the aforementioned receivers

There's only one football.

Waddle has more receptions, yards, and touchdowns than Marshall btw. Classic case of homerism there.

I don’t get saying Bama has more firepower on offense

Well they return two elite receivers and arguably the best running back in the country. They also return a QB that tossed 14 touchdowns last year in limited action as a starter, that's only 2 fewer than Burrow threw as a junior. Throw in 4 returning starters on the offensive line...why wouldn't you get saying bama has more firepower on offense?

The past does not dictate the future.

Will I be surprised if Bama goes 12-0? No. But LSU has a completely different offense now. Won the natty in year one. Doesnt mean that will happen again this year, but I believe LSU has caught up to Bama. The SECW is more like it was 2010-12 now.

Brings back memories of 2010. A simpler time. Bama finally misses a playoff and it's a "trend"

Yeah.

Can't expect a playoff berth every year if there are 2-3 teams in your conference that are equally talented.

After being blown out in the championship prior.

Kinda reminds me of 2012.

And it's repeated ad nauseum that Burrow was a shite quarterback before Brady came to LSU.

Did Alabama hire a whiz kid this offseason?

Eh, they have done fairly well at the closest thing to them for a while now.

Maybe this is the start of the end for Saban but that has been guessed at so many times and been wrong, they will be right eventually though.
