My point is really that while Alabama has won 3 BCS title in 4 years --- they simply are NOT that far ahead of everyone else --- they are ahead, no doubt... but it's a damn close race and the the magin of difference on any given week fluctuates enough that other good teams can beat them.

Champions find a way to win....losers post shite like this....3 out of 4 proves you wrong

However, as an LSU fan and hearing all the bitching and moaning about how far Alabama is ahead of us, etc. etc. etc.

Do you feel better now that you've gotten all this bitching and moaning off your chest?

I've got a MBA from LSU too. Wanna cookie?

Did you minor in moral victories?

Does it really matter, please stop trying to justify anything concerning the Gumps. We all know they are the greatest football program of all time. No other team could ever dream about being as great as they are. There state is the greatest thing in North America. They do no wrong! Now do you get it?

FWIW, I wish they would fix that fricked up tunnel congestion in Mobile.

I agree with you, the margin is very thin. When the facilities, resources, talent, recruiting, and fan support are all even it really just boils down to one thing ---->>>COACHING.

Again, correct. Gameday coaching, to be more specific. i.e. playcalling and adjustments.

Same deal with 11/5. It was proven on 1/9. Bama didn't show up to play on 11/5, and when they did show up they shut LSU out.

So you think Utah was Better than Bama in 08? You think ulm was better than Bama in 07?
2011 Bama was 1-1 against LSU. Gumps has turned that Nov.5th game into something it's not. From the END OF THE FIRTS QRTR UNTIL THE END OF THE GAME, LSU out gained Bama. 3 of the 4 missed fgs were career long fgs. In the NFL, 45+ fgs are made 65% of the time. Those long fgs aren't points left on the field

Look at the chart below, it is the last 5 years records and think about it again. The 1st down differential is MFnInsane

Bama players may be as good or as bad as players on other good teams.
But Saban and his coaches are so far ahead of every one else that close talent means that they will win MOST games.

Well since LSU has great special teams , we need less first downs to get in the endzone but I wouldn't expect a GUMP to know this.

So what is the point of all this? That Alabama had a couple of close games?

Thanks for the breaking news.

It's funny that NO ONE , except gumps , recognize 15 titles. You can't claim a title from 1925, in 1984, using a poll that didnt exist until 1938.

I have no idea. Bama's run from 08 to present is a top 5 ALLTIME run. Period. Regardless of how close games were.
