LSU was better than UF so 5th best team. Carolina and A&M both were better than LSU at the end of the year.

LSU has a lot of good players on offense, but they need a star or two.

And because you seem so dense - the reason Bama is so far ahead of you is because we have won 3 titles in 4 years and you haven't won any. That's three more national titles in the last four years for those counting at home, and one of them was a 21-0 laugher at your expense.

Sorry if the truth hurts.

Meh. Both were overrated with terrible offenses. Don't know how I feel saying UF is definitely better. Their secondary was undoubtedly better than ours.

At the end of year maybe, but then again, I wouldn't say they were definitely better. We beat USCe and we were both beat by Florida, although they were beat much worse.

And as for A&M, using LSU's post-Bama game sleepwalking play as a representative of their whole season play is about as legit as using A&M's first half as the indicator of their whole season.

Landry, Ware, and Ford were all 5 stars. Guess they really never lived up to their potential. They all had flashes, but none of them seemed to bring it every game.

Landry and Hill cold both be legit with a real OC. The game plan used against Bama should be the prototype going forward. Les Miles and stud also need to do a better job with the O line in pass pro.

I believe they are the 2 best offensive players Miles has recruited since he's been here.

Other LSU fans might not want to hear it, but I believe the team (staff included) had everything they had stored up for this game They treated it like it was the national championship. Once we came up short, they knew their title shots were slim to none and slept walked throughout the rest of the season. To say they blew their load would be an understatement.

Another understatement. I know Mett has the same mobility as the statue of the liberty but the pass pro problems seemed evident from the very first game against North Texas. The OL made the Clemson d-line look much better than it was.

Look at the newspapers from the time. They say the games were played for the national championship.
