If Sabear was going to kick them off the team, it would have been done so by now.

I think he sits out all of September, which is still not ideal given that bama will face USC and @Ole Miss

Doubt he will sit out any time, they are not even suspended which leads you to believe they will not be.

Cardell Hayes, the guy that shot Will Smith a few months ago was served 6 months for similar charges.......actually lessor charges.

n 2012, he pleaded guilty to a weapons charge and possession of codeine syrup and served six months in prison. In 2014, he pleaded guilty for illegally carrying a firearm and drug paraphernalia and was sentenced to six months’ probation. The matter of his father’s death has surfaced again.

based on available information a similar sentence should be expected.

Here is where it gets real sticky for them. I still think it gets reduced, but the precedent is there for jail time.

I don't see either of them getting away without at least a game suspension. Would not shock me to see it multiple games.

I'll be disappointed if the suspension doesn't happen. Kids are stupid. A message needs to be sent. If nothing happens then the kids have learned absolutely nothing.

Posession of a firearm in conjunction with cds carries a minimum 5 year sentence.

That is absurd, I don't care who the person is.

Minimum sentencing laws are ridiculous and show no proof that they actually deter crimes.

I'm not saying that minimum sentencing laws arn't ridiculous, just simply showing the punishments for the crimes he committed as stated in Louisiana law.

So he went to prison the first time, and got probation the second time? That doesn't even make much sense. I'm going to go ahead and say that that is not the set precedent.

What's funny to me is how on one hand posters are saying minimum sentencing laws are ridiculous and on the other hand complaining that the justice system doesn't treat everyone the same.

Here's a question. If you don't have minimum sentences, who do you think is going to get all the breaks?

You can complain about the HARSHNESS of some minimum sentences and may have a valid argument, but without those minimums, you'd see a further disparity between defendants of means and those without than you have today.

Saban is a "lil" disappointed his star player is running around with illegal drugs and guns, yet he yells uncontrollably at his players when they make a mental mistake in the heat of a game. Awesome priorities.

Link to how you know he didn't react the same way when he got a chance to talk to these two?

Yeah, that's what I thought. Any more gems you want to pull out of your arse?

HARSHNESS

E. If the offender uses, possesses, or has under his immediate control any firearm, or other instrumentality customarily used or intended for probable use as a dangerous weapon, while committing or attempting to commit a crime of violence or while in the possession of or during the sale or distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, the offender shall be fined not more than ten thousand dollars and imprisoned at hard labor for not less than five nor more than ten years without the benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence
Only happy ending I see is drop drug charge and fairly easy defense of stolen gun.

I am just saying he could just not do him any favors and he will likely be out for the Fall. Saban must be pulling his hair out on this one. How can they be this stupid, to go park a car in high drug traffic area at 3 am and get high, with weapons. I mean WTF? If they were not Louisiana kids you bought from us you would have my complete sympathy as caould happen to anyone. But kids willing to accept cars, get paid etc, and ditch their local school are showing real signs of their true character whether u want to admit it or not.

When we get a kid from Bama I am immediately suspicious that he is a bad apple too, yall didn't really want him etc. Occasionally you get kid that wants to get away but to go to arch rival is just a eat shite move.

You are melting over this more than you did in the ATPB thread years ago Tut.

And I promise you Saban isn't pulling his hair out over these dumbasses.

Tuesday evening he and Miss Terry were at a benefit honoring the Kerry Goode Foundation in BDS. They were eating, drinking and being merry hosts to over 50 former UA players + BOT members + the BIG $$ donors - they raised thousands that night for the Foundation.

Wednesday Saban was playing golf at Shoal Creek and was seen kicking back in a Lazy Boy on one hole smiling and enjoying himself.

Or, you know, they will plead down and do some kind of pre-trial diversion. Happens ALL THE TIME.
