So can you go out and buy those lowest attrition rate championship T-shirts now, or do you have to pre-order them?
I'm pretty sure this thread is a response to all the whiney bitches talking about Saban running off players. But, now that those bitches have forced us to research the matter, I think we will get t-shirts printed up.

First of all, Auburn's numbers are misleading, because some of those players were part of more than one recruiting class. Chris Slaughter and Bo Harris originally signed with Auburn in 2006, did not get into school, and signed with Auburn again in 2007. Raven Gray originally signed with Auburn in 2006, did not get into school, and signed with Auburn again in 2008. Eltoro Freeman and Nick Fairley originally signed with Auburn in 2007, did not get into school, and signed with Auburn again in 2009. Ontario McCalebb signed with Auburn in 2008, did not get into school, and signed with Auburn again in 2009.
Auburn had 10 or 12 players from those three recruiting classes who never got into school period, and 6 or 7 of those players flunked out of school after they enrolled. Chaz Ramsey and Andre Wadley suffered career ending injuries. Steven Emsinger Jr. transfered to a smaller school after it became apparent that he would never play at Auburn. Marcus Jemsison, Jomarcus Savage, and Christian Thompson were kicked off the team by Chizik for violating team rules.
You bammers can try to spin it all you want too, but Auburn coaches are not running players out of town just to make room for new players who are more talented like your midget coach is doing

So you just openly admitted that AU recruits dumbasses? How many other teams have between 16 and 19 players not even make it into school or FLUNK OUT(note I said flunk out, not just leave). That is a horrible excuse. You put AU on a pedestal while criticizing other teams acting like any other successful business or winning organization where there is turnover to get in more talented individuals, but in reality, AU made bad recruiting choices and are now to far behind to catch up.

First of all, Tommy Tubervile did recruit several players in his last 2 or 3 years that he knew were not going to qualify and would end up in junior college. I am not positive why he did that, but I would assume it was a favor to some high school coaches. Seond of all, the gumps have recruited more than their share of dumbasses in recent years, but they somehow manage to get every single one of those players into school and keep them eligible by steering them to majors and classes that a potted plant could pass.
Michael Bowman was originally from the state of Georgia. Georgia coaches did not recruit him, because it was generally assumed that he had no chance of qualifying. He somehow, someway managed to get into school at bammer
Darrington Sentimore and Eddie Lacy were originally from Louisiana. LSU did not recruit either one of those players, because it was generally assumed that they had no chance of qualifying. Both of those players somehow, someway managed to get into school at bammer
Teachers and administrators at Hoover High School had to change Kerry Murphy's grades from the time he was in the 8th grade until he graduated from high school just to keep him eligible to play high school football.
Kerry Murphy also had to attend some school in Birmingham that specializes in helping kids who are either retarded or have learning disabilities. Despite his academic deficiencies, Kerry Murphy was still able to get into school at bammer.
Josh Chapman only got into school at bammer because the grades on his high school transcript were changed
Antonio Lawrence was also diagnosed with a learning disability in high school, but he still managed to get into school at bammer as well.
I am sure people at Auburn and other colleges all around the United States wish they knew the gumps secret for recruiting a team full of retards, getting every single one those retards into school, and keeping them eligible for 4 or 5 years

8/12 of AU's 2008 players are gone because of some non-academic reason - transferring, "left team for unknown reasons", or medical hardship. All of which are referred to as "kicking guys off" when discussing Alabama & Saban.

Name the 8 players. The only players I know about are Raven Gray who flunked out of school, Marcus Jemsion, Jomarcus Savage, and Christian Thompson who were kicked off the team for violating team rules, and Andre Wadley who was put on a medical schoarship. Andre Wadley collapsed from heat exhaustion during practice last fall, had to be taken from the field on a stretcher, and spent several days in the intensive care unit of East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika
Auburn only has 75 players currently on scholarship, so Chizik obviously had some other reason for kicking Marcus Jemison, Jamrcus Savage, and Christian Thompson off team besides just clearing room for new players
Saban had to get rid of a bunch of players to fit under the 85 scholarship limit

It doesnt really matter anyway, because Auburn had room to keep all 8 of those players under the scholarship limit of 85. Chizik is not getting rid of players just to make room for new players with more talent like Saban is doing

Saban will get rid of the players he wants to so that he has enough scholarships after he shafts those kids.

I think Chizik's main goal should be to bring in better talent than he currently has. And, if Chizik isn't getting better talent on the roster than what's currently on there, then AU will be in a world of hurt for a few years.

There are a number of players on Alabama's roster who are not "real" contributors. They have been at Alabama for 3 years of more. They practice hard, they attend meetings on time, they do everything they are asked to do. But they haven't cracked the starting line-up. But, they are still there.
I'm not going to call their names but you can check the roster. They have done everything to comply with the terms of their scholarship and they will graduate from Alabama. But they've never been starters.
Let's look at the players dismissed:
Prince Hall played in 36 games during his Alabama career while making 14 starts at linebacker. He recorded 152 tackles during his three seasons at the Capstone with 13 tackles for loss and three sacks.
Brandon Fanney started all 14 games his last year at Alabama as a jack linebacker ... recorded 66 tackles on the season to rank third on the team ... made nine tackles for loss (-19) and a sack (-5) ... recovered one fumble and registered four quarterback hurries ... earned defensive player of the week honors from the Alabama coaching staff six times this season, including games against Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Arkansas State, Mississippi State and Auburn.(started 14 games).
Alonzo Lawrence, is by all accounts a budding star. Ask Ole Miss fans if they wouldn't take him.
Jermaine Preyear: Highly recruited, younger guy, lots of potential.
It's not fair to these guys to say they were not "good enough."
They are good athletes, they just didn't do what was expected of them at Alabama. Therefore, they are off the team. Saban, apparently has learned that a team cannot succeed when some players, no matter how talented, don't think the rules apply to them.
Now, these players may have been stars at LSU. If that offends you, then so be it.
