Loaded now. 2 games into the season and y'all could be hurtin' for players in any given area, LB, secondary, D line, QB.
Sometime the locusts come in and eat everything.

The only two people on defense that are irreplaceable are Javy(due to his special team skills and leadership) and Ro(cuz face it...homeboy is a beast and no one after him is ready to take on the roll that he fills)

But back on topic...4 losses=failed season

Or it could be the fact that our head coach has coached with them before and that happened to be at LSU...just saying.
quote:

What has Butch Davis done in North Carolina? He has not won any national or even conference championships there yet.

And what the hell has Kiffin done at UT..hell what has he done in college football. At least Davis has a proven track record of being a great coach and even better recruiter(who recruited that 2001 Miami team??). I'll agree that UNC isn't a powerhouse program, but it is a better place to play than some teams in the SEC right now...and yes I'm looking at you, Auburn and Tennessee.
quote:

Mack Brown was the football coach at North Carolina for 10 or 12 years. How many conference or national championships did he win? If you guessed zero, you are correct. Is Buth Davis a better coach than Mack Brown? I don't think so.

OK? That statement had NOTHING to do with the conversation. We were comparing Butch Davis and Lane Kiffin, but if you wanna play that way, ok then. You just made my point for me that Butch Davis is a better coach because by pointing out that UNC is a pretty difficult place to win(even for a coach like Brown) just makes what Davis has done even more impressive. UNC is on its way to top tier status(at least in the ACC) and if you still say that the current state of UT is better than UNC then by god you really are ignorant.
quote:

That is laughable.

Tennessee's last national championship: 1998

Tennessee's last conference championship: 1998

North Carolina's last national championship: never

North Carolina's last conference championship: 1980

Butch Davis>Lane Kiffin

Are you kidding? If you believe rivals, most Auburn recruits have offers from schools like Alabama, Florida State, Tennessee, or some other type 25 school.

I'll give you Goodwin, Richardson, Mincy, and White...other than those 4, no one in your class has a very impressive offer list.

A reverse? Damn, you gumps get excited over a wide out getting a fricking reverse? you've got to be shitting me

I get a chubby every time Julio touches the ball. :hail:
quote:

we will know if your players are overrated if your team fails. being a 2 time recruiting national championship should produce real championships. I doubt you even win the SEC with this current group of players.

So Bama won't win an SEC title within the next 5 years? That is a pretty bold statement.

2. Tennessee @ Alabama

Alabama would never over look Tennessee. If anything, they would be over looking SC to UT. Kiffin's first trip to T-Town plus just the fact it is Tennessee will keep the team focused. It has been a long time since a Bama team has over looked the Third Saturday in October.
quote:

So you're saying there's no way that any Bama fan on this board or on the Rivals board never said anything about Bell getting on the field?

Yes...that is exactly what we are saying.
quote:

First of all, Auburn's numbers are misleading, because some of those players were part of more than one recruiting class. Chris Slaughter and Bo Harris originally signed with Auburn in 2006, did not get into school, and signed with Auburn again in 2007. Raven Gray originally signed with Auburn in 2006, did not get into school, and signed with Auburn again in 2008. Eltoro Freeman and Nick Fairley originally signed with Auburn in 2007, did not get into school, and signed with Auburn again in 2009. Ontario McCalebb signed with Auburn in 2008, did not get into school, and signed with Auburn again in 2009.

Auburn had 10 or 12 players from those three recruiting classes who never got into school period, and 6 or 7 of those players flunked out of school after they enrolled. Chaz Ramsey and Andre Wadley suffered career ending injuries. Steven Emsinger Jr. transfered to a smaller school after it became apparent that he would never play at Auburn. Marcus Jemsison, Jomarcus Savage, and Christian Thompson were kicked off the team by Chizik for violating team rules.

You bammers can try to spin it all you want too, but Auburn coaches are not running players out of town just to make room for new players who are more talented like your midget coach is doing

So you just openly admitted that AU recruits dumbasses? How many other teams have between 16 and 19 players not even make it into school or FLUNK OUT(note I said flunk out, not just leave). That is a horrible excuse. You put AU on a pedestal while criticizing other teams acting like any other successful business or winning organization where there is turnover to get in more talented individuals, but in reality, AU made bad recruiting choices and are now to far behind to catch up.

I'm so glad you are counting down the days to being a pathetic newboy. You honestly know very little of what you speak of. If fraternities still beat the shite out of newboys I would be laughing harder but in all honesty these days your just gonna go through a cakewalk of gay. Farternities don't mean shite anymore and anyone who was really hazed knows this Save your money.

Sounds like someone has got the "I'm Old Row and I'm better than everyone else" stick stuck up their arse.

It comes with the territory of being a dirty liberal. I get pissed when people drive gas guzzlers, hunt animals and say racist/ignorant shite. I'm also not a huge fan of the pretentiousness and the social structure or whatever. I get pissed at these people in general, but I give everyone I meet a chance. I go out of my way not to judge them just because they look like a douche. I've actually benefitted from this a bit.

I'm the anomaly...I'm super liberal...but I definitely frat hard for my city... I started GDI then went Greek my 2nd semester...It just varies because I know douche GDIs also. I like my fraternity brothers, I know I've got lifelong friends so I don't regret it, but it isn't for everybody.

Oh, and from my opinion and the opinion of most of the people I know here at Bama the list goes

1.)Ole Miss
2.)Bama
3.)UGA
4.)USCe
5.)AU
6.)LSU
7.)MSU
8.)Tenn.
9.)KY
10.)UF
11.)Arky
12.)Vandy

But seriously... I give us between 1% and 5% of landing him. HIGHLY doubtful, but stranger things have happened.

It goes

1.)Tebow
2.)Snead
3-12.)everyone else

Tebow and Snead are way ahead of everyone else right now because they are they only ones we really know what to expect

For me? UF/Bama 2005.

31-3 is one of the 'best games' in history ?

Hence the "For me" I was basing it more on the atmosphere of the stadium and the Meyer loosing were the sweetest points(and also my most recent ex at the time was a Florida fan so it made it much sweeter). Not so much the game itself.
