I may not be an expert, but I know that y'all should be 0-3 and 0-2 in SEC play. One of these days your luck is going to run out, and I think that day is October 28, 2017.

They came within a minute of repeating as NC. Somehow, I think Saban's better at this football thing than you are.

Hell, if UGA keeps improving throughout the season, they won't even beat us in the SECG without one. Our defense is fast, physical, disciplined and we tackle extremely well. Bama's backs and their "dual threat" QB who can only run the ball won't be enough against us. Jalen Hurts is the most overrated player in the SEC. And if they somehow do beat us and make it back to the CFP, they're not going to win it. A true duel threat like Baker Mayfield will carve them up just like Deshaun Watson did. They lost with Sims and Hurts because they lacked a downfield passing attack. At least with Coker you could count on him completing a pass over 20 yards every now and then.

Don't know why you got so many down votes. Everything you said in your post is true except for the Sims part. Sims was a much better QB than Coker ever was. But the other stuff is accurate so here's an upvote for you.

Of course Saban is better "at this football thing" than I am. But if he had won a NC in 2014 and 2016, he would objectively be the greatest of all time. Right now most would say he isn't. And unless he develops a QB that can keep a CFP level defense honest, he will never win another NC.

Are you fricking kidding me?

Your argument hinges on the fact that he's only won more national titles than anyone than the Bear (in the space of 12 years rather than than almost 20)? Is the linchpin of your argument seriously that Saban isn't the greatest coach in CFB because he lost a playoff and a title game?

And I'm sure Jay Cutler holds almost every passing record at Vanderbilt. What's your point? Face it, Bama isn't exactly a QB factory. I know Bama had Namath but they didn't throw the football at all back in those days (something that Bama still doesn't do).

Thank you. Most of the Bama fans on this thread lack basic reading comprehension skills.

If Saban doesn't win another NC, he will not go down as the GOAT. If he doesn't develop a QB that is a vertical threat, he will not win another NC.

You don’t have to “throw the football” to be a good team and win games. There is much more to a football game than throwing it or Washington State and Oklahoma State would take turns winning NC’s every year. Alabama is better than Georgia in every facet of the game that matters. Better Coaches and better players. That is what matters.

Beating an awful program like ND by 1 point and Mississippi State doesn’t mean anything in the big picture. You still have a horrible coaching staff. You still have a bunch of soft and undisciplined Mark Richt players on your roster. You are still the program that has won nothing of note in the last 37 years. You couldn’t even beat Vandy and GT last year but you act like Bama losing to Clemson on the last play of the game is horrible?

Amari Cooper win the Biletnikoff with Blake Simms as QB. You are not very informed. Bama didn't win in 2014 because their defense was the worst of the Saban era. No pass rush, suspect secondary, and only starting MLB of the Saban era not to be drafted in Trey Depriest.

Georgia runs the type of offense that Bama shuts down. Game would be a massacre and Kirby would look like Ray Goff on the sidelines making clueless faces and looking at the scoreboard wondering what happened.

Spot on, Jake.

And on a side note, glad to see you here. I hope Guiseppe is doing well.

Cooper Bateman was absolute shite and you're honestly telling me that Hurts is a guy you can count on to make a 20 yard pass in a big game?

Do you even pay attention?

Apparently there is only ONE CFP defense Hurts has faced. The only one he lost to.

Hurts played like shite against Florida in the SECG last year, Washington in the semifinals, and Clemson in finals. The only reason Bama still beat Florida and Washington was because they were inferior across the board. Bama needed him to step up against Clemson and he couldn't. If Oklahoma, Clemson, Michigan, Georgia, and USC keep improving, one of those teams will beat Bama because Bama will not develop Jalen Hurts into a championship QB.

Overconfidence like this when it comes to Alabama always goes well.

Just go ahead and say it: "We want Bama".

I'm just guessing that since you don't identify as either a Bama or Clemson fan, you probably didn't watch the national championship game.

Because not five Bama fans in a hundred feels this way, Hurts played solidly. The reason we lost is because Watson gave a stellar performance. Clemson had a ten minute advantage in possession time and the Bama D was gassed. Without Scarborough to help eat time with ground yards, it was difficult for our D to stay off the field. Even so, Hurts led a late touchdown to take the lead. Just a great game all around, but Clemson got it done.

Hurts was a true freshman who was awarded the SEC offensive player of the year and took his team to the national championship game, and was within one play of winning. While I support your right to an opinion, it would be good to at least be SLIGHTLY objective and fact-based. You are making me WANT to see Georgia in the SEC championship.
