I agree with OP. Bama will get in as probably 10 seed.

The CFP needs to add something called the Bama rule where some dickwad says "I mean come on bro, it's Bama" and puts them in every year regardless of record

First, Bama doesn’t deserve to be in the playoffs. I can’t imagine them winning a road game in the first round, no matter who they go against. That being said, it would be disastrous for conference championship games going forward if the committee kept the bluest of the blue bloods out after they lost a 13th game.

Although it would be quite ironic - almost poetic - if Alabama’s loss killed the conference championship game on the same weekend that Roy Kramer died.

Bama at A&M or Ole Miss?

The Bear Bryant Bowl or the Lane Kiffin Melt Bowl. A&M probably beats Bama, Ole Miss probably loses to Bama with no Lane Train.

We have 3 loss teams playing for a NC. This just seems off.

We had two loss teams playing for a national championship when just two teams were invited.

Luck of schedule draw has a lot to do with it
Let’s examine that.

Top 8 teams in the SEC.

Bama played 4
Georgia played 3
Ole Miss played 2
A&M played 2

That’s the top 4, who made the SECCG? The teams with the toughest SEC schedules. Imagine that.

The two best teams in the conference played tonight.

I would think that you would be able to comprehend. There are a lot of SEC teams that could have taken Bama's place tonight. That could have played better.

It’s ok little fella. You’ll figure out how the system works one day. It’s only been like this a couple years. Maybe you could YouTube it or something. Watch it on 3/4 speed to give yourself the best shot.

Maybe the SEC shouldn't have put a lower ranked team with more losses in over two other higher ranked candidates

THIS. There were two 1-loss teams in OM/A&M that only had one loss overall. The tiebreakers are broken.

Bama is SEC runner up because they happen to win the tie breaker against Ole Miss and us. They are still the team who lost to FSU and struggled to beat Missouri, USCe and Auburn.

So never bother scheduling a non-conference P4 game ever again. What's the benefit?

If the committee leaves out the SEC runner up, you best believe that Sankey and the SEC office will let it be known that they will not be re-upping with the CFP.

LOL!! You think the SEC would burn the goose when they still get 4 teams in the CFP, and make $$$ from the SECCG?

Not a chance. No other conference would join them in that fight.

The committee needs to die anyway. Hopefully Bama does get left out so we can accelerate the process.

We need a program with the influence of Bama to get royally fricked so they can start slinging their dick around to go after the ridiculous fact that there are no real defined rules for deciding who gets to play for a national championship

You steal the best teams from the ACC to add to the SEC. Then you have an SEC only playoff. Keep all the money and watch the CFP die

So you think you can have a SEC conference playoff substitute a national playoff?

Yes. There’s two potential futures.

1) one super-conference that starts with the SEC adding all the best teams like ND, OSU, Michigan, FSU, USC etc

2) two super-conferences where the SEC and B1G have their playoff winners play each other
