"Fun Fact" If you removed Bear Bryant AND Nick Saban from Alabama's history books.... The Alabama Crimson Tide is still in a different league from Auburn University, with three times as many national championships.

Head coach doesn't matter. All you need is great of coordinators. At least that is what I have been told.

Take out Bryant and Saban, and we have more national championship winning coaches than most teams have national championships.

See,this is the Auburn mentality. Instead of hiring the best to become the best, hope that your rival drops to your level just so you can compete.
Sad little brother,just really sad.

A UT friend was saying the same thing to me a few weeks ago, except, he admitted we might end up with Swinney after Saban, but that Swinney wasn't a good coach, nor what has made Clemson good the past few years...as he put it, "Dashaun Watson was the only reason Clemson got a title and now Clemson will go back to being bad, Dabo had nothing to do with it" I was embarrassed for him.

Bama, Whatcha Gonna Do After Saban Retires?

Reflect on the dynasty he brought to us and revel in the memories...I still have great memories of the Bear years and the '92 season so when this run is done, it'll be no different...

As for who comes after Saban, I'll just enjoy it while he's here and worry 'bout the next coach when it happens. I'm sure we'll go after Dabo and he'll listen but doesn't mean he'll come. I wouldn't want to follow Saban so we might have some lean years afterwards...but I'm sure there are several upper tier coaches who'd like to follow the guy that followed Saban so we should be back in contention no too long after he leaves...

They will buy the best coach available, and they will keep on trucking for many more years, their reign will end when justice comes to this world, that means... NEVER.

Reminisce about arguably the GOAT run in CFB history, probably chant "Thank You Saban" in some public gathering, spank little brother's (that's Auburn) arse in the Iron Bowl, and probably top it off with a trip to Dreamland

God help the College Football world if Saban does what Stoops did and used his last year or so to set up the next guy so we don't skip a beat/

Don't think it's gonna happen. Saban is one of a kind and is not going to be imitated. Just look at how many of his former assistants have failed as HC's (Kirby remains to be seen). There's something he does that no one else can do and it goes beyond just having the best players (that's a big part of it, but it's not everything).

All I am saying is don't expect to continue winning titles year after year when Saban is gone.

Win 10+ games a season and contend for conference and national titles.

You know, the same thing Bama has done since the SEC was created (Ears Whitworth excepted)
