My heart says Georgia but my head says Bama. Saban will have his team ready to play. I think the X factor in the game is Bama WR Jamo Williams. If he returns 1 or 2 kick returns for TDs then that helps Bama. And he has helped Bama win a couple games by doing this. If game is close . I see both getting in the playoffs.

Are you talking punts? because UGA kicker pretty much can put every kick off into endzone if he chooses and frankly a return guy would be stupid not to take the 25yd. As for punts, I haven't noticed particularly poor return coverage through the year, and Camarda is pretty good at booting them both high and long.

You have shrewdly watched this season unfold. At this point both teams “are who they are”. Based on transitives Georgia should absolutely dominate Bama in this game.

A Bama win or a loss all rests on Bryce Young. Bryce is basically Tua 2.0. He wants to sit in the pocket all day and keep looking downfield hoping a 75 yard TD pass will open up late. He gets in trouble the same way Tua did. Instead of just pulling the ball and running it he will end up taking a negative play with a sack or the offensive line gets a holding penalty. If Bryce would just take what the defense gives him with his legs this Bama offense would never have to punt or kick a FG. His negative plays have really hurt the team coming down the stretch. He is a good player and he can spin the ball but sometimes the defense wins. It’s ok to run and slide. Most times he has yards of green grass in front of him all he has to do is take off. No linebacker will take him down one on one so a lot of those runs could spring for TD’s themselves. Holding on to the ball all day did not work out well for Tua and I would not advise Young to take up that habit. That is a big piece of this game though if Bryce is channeling his inner Tua then Bama ‘s chance to win this game is almost 0. If he will take off and take what the D gives him like he did against Miss St earlier this year then Bama not only could win this game but will win this game. Bama’s chances almost all ride on Bryce Young’s decision making.

I think Saban himself knows this team is not a typical elite Bama team. They are what they are.

The only way Bama just barely might win is if UGA shoots themselves in the foot repeatedly. And of course Bama has to take advantage of it but it would be very uncharacteristic for UGA to do so repeatedly.

I feel like this UGA team has some in common with 2018 Bama that also blew out every single team they played in the regular season. One difference is I don’t think this UGA team isn’t going to well prepared. They’re not going to get complacent just because they’re widely expected to win. That Bama team was defending champs while this UGA team is trying to break a 41 year streak.

Most of the people that believe Ga will win also thought the Barn would win with 2 minutes left in the game.

Bama’s done unbelievably good for a rebuilding year. Playing with house money right now. But Georgia is hungry af to beat Bama. Imo, Dawgs want it more.

And Bama’s OL struggles & RB injuries … Dawgs smell blood.

Off the cuff type stuff on Bama. Short story shorter they are like a prime Richt team when UGA is more like a prime Saban team.

Offense - Young is a weapon, so are the top two receivers. RB seems like a mess, very unSaban like. OL has some leakage also Richt like.

Defense - seems a bit undisciplined. Have a good rush d but UGA hasn't been able to to run between the tackles all season. They are very good running on the perimeter which Bama seems to struggle with. Smith is a stud who will cause problems but the UGA Oline doesn't give up many sacks.

UGA is just getting better and better with the receivers. They were carried essentially by 3 freshmen all season cause of injuries. Basically all those guys are back. Bama is ranked 68th in passing efficiency defense which isn't a good sign.

It's a one game season for both teams on Saturday. Unfortunately for the loser it's season will be considered a failure no matter what transpires in the aftermath. If the Dawgs waste a golden opportunity and come up short this time then even if they run the table in the playoffs Alabama will sit over their heads.

Dawgs must win and make a statement on Saturday.

I don't pay any attention to the Iron bowl results. Auburn played out of their minds and did very well. It was not reflection on Alabama or their abilities.

I will take the same stance I have seen several other UGA fans take. I will believe we can beat Alabama when we do it.

I'd agree except the Iron Bowl has been a pattern. It wasn't just one game.

You finished with Missouri, Tennessee, Charleston Southern and Georgia Tech. Of course you’re receivers were getting better. Have you starters played a second half in the last 4 games?

Second half? Yes
4th quarter? Not so much.

UGA has the 2nd fewest pass attempts in conference.
UGA has the 3rd most pass plays 25+ yards in conference.
Go ahead and sleep on the UGA passing game if you dare.
