LSU was happy to pick up early commitments for 2011, but the Tigers staff knew that wouldn’t ease their efforts for next February.

Two of LSU’s 2011 commitments have already announced they will look at other schools: wide receiver Jarvis Landry from Lutcher (La.) High School and running back Jeremy Hill from Redemptorist High School in Baton Rouge, La.

Landry is now considering Auburn, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Florida State, Oklahoma and Tulsa.

“I opened up my recruiting and now I am just open to everybody,” Landry told AuburnUndercover.com.

Hill said he will take a look at Alabama, Ole Miss, Florida State, Miami and Oregon.

“I’m still committed to LSU right now,” Hill told CrimsonConfidential.com. “I’m visiting a few other schools to see if there is a better situation out there.”

I love how AuburnUndercover is claiming that as their interview... It's from ESPN

and they spun it to make it sound like he softened his commitment... Landry himself cleared it up last night some what

Plus it's Feb and I will not lose any sleep over it

I am certainly not "in the know" about recruiting, I just base my information off of quotes and other sites, but it I would be more surprised to see Hill playing elsewhere than Landry.

Seriously, i can't remember the last time a recruit saying he'd take a visit got misconstrued to softening his committment. Well there was that whole trovon reed thing.

New to recruiting? AuburnUndercover is ESPN's Auburn affiliated site...he gave the quotes to AUC and then ESPN.com takes them from AuburnUndercover

Who gives a flip at this point? We are a year away from signing...alot of these guys are going to look around, even the ones that commit over the summer and fall. It's what most of them do....

No he was committed to auburn and said he'd take a visit to LSU and everyone jumped on the his committment is soft bandwagon. See what i did there was offer a comparison of fanbases reactions and how information gets spun.

As usual ESPN is way behind. Both said they are taking their visits (enjoying the process) early on. Both are solid commits still and have confirmed that. Hill himself is recruiting for LSU and pushing for some recruits to commit at junior day tomorrow.
