I'm thinking Bama has their guy already. I'm betting they've been working on this for some time.

I doubt Saban dropped this on them yesterday.

That depends on the contract. It might be worth the risk for a tier 2 guy looking for a break.

Will be a ton of pressure for the new guy. Now with NIL, the Alabama job is no better than other big schools with the same resources.

If you're late 50s I can see it. If you're anyone younger, no way. The next coach is set up for total failure. Alabama will drop off precipitously. It won't become Mississippi State, but it will fall back into the 4th-7th spot during the next tenure. The next coach will be branded a failure.

I disagree. If you're young there's still plenty of time to take a coordinator job elsewhere and rehab your image WHILE sitting on a pile of cash. Kiffin and Sark are perfect examples.
