I have no love loss for either team, but it really does appear Texas is about to get screwed if UGA beats Bama and they make it into the POs over Texas.

Consider...both will have 3 losses with a loss to UGA. Both will have lost to dumpster fire Florida teams (made worse for Bama is the fact UF thumped FSU). Then consider their 3rd loss; Texas lost to the #1 team while Bama lost to the same Oky that Texas mopped the floor with.

So, help me out here Bama fans. Why should you get in over them? Is it because Bama already beat UGA and that makes that a wash? Is it because FSU was the 1st game of the year and should be overlooked? Is it because the conference championship game shouldn't count? Or is it...something else?

Because Bama would have a third loss due to an extra game against a top-five opponent, while Texas has three regular-season losses. One of those was to Florida, and another was a blowout.

I actually agree with ya, but uh...I was expecting the Texas fans to put up more of a fight on this. Thanks for the honesty, have an upvote.

Bama’s 3rd loss would come to a team they also already beat, so it nets out

You sound scared of potentially losing to Bama 3x in one year, and are lobbying for a worse team to get in so you can feel safe

1) neither team deserves it.l in that scenario.

2) UT has no business in the playoffs. 3 losses and one by 8 points to a team that finished 4-8.

3) UT even being ahead of Vandy is more unfair given Vandy has more wins, and better and less number of losses.

Again, UT has no business anywhere near the playoffs.

Texas also needed OT to beat Kentucky and Mississippi State, and beat 2-10 UTEP by a score of 27-10.

That has to be considered.

One of Bama’s losses will have come from playing in an extra game the SECCG….a pointless and redundant game against a Top 5 opponent they already beat on the road.

It’s really not hard to understand

I’m always gonna argue for SEC teams to be in over the likes of ND, Virginia, Miami & BYU.

Yes ND skirts both those scenarios?

BAMA is the #1 seed in the SEC.

Sagarin SOS

BAMA - 8
Tejas - 13

BAMA lost to FSU the first game of the season with a new QB on the road and to Top 10 OU.

Tejas lost to unranked UF and ranked OSU and GA. They had to go to OT to beat unranked UK.

Common opponents:

BAMA beat Jawja on the road. Tejas lost to Jawja by 25 on the road.

Tejas beat OU by 17, BAMA lost to OU by 2.

BAMA beat VU by 16, Tejas beat them by 3.

No team has more top 14 wins than anyone since…..2019 lsu the team yall love to say is the greatest of all time. Even that team struggled against a bad Texas team on the road.

Point is we are giving way too much of a pass to teams that play no one and screwing teams who actually schedule and play hard teams, which noonday are top 15 teams.

With a third loss Bama don’t belong but if they win, I hope they get Georgia again immediately and kick the dogs out

I’m not scared but I’m not exactly excited about it.
