No, I don't "just hate Bama" and FSU is not 7-5 right now so giving them credit for what might happen holds zero water.

They are 5-5 and in 15th place of the ACC.

Again, if the committee is going to treat the ACC as a 1 bid league getting blown out by a team currently in 15th in said league cannot be canceled out.

FSU is bad. Miami and A&M are not bad. A bad loss is weighing in a lot.

I agree personally Bams should be one spot up. If they win the SEC they will move ahead for sure

When should we start counting games? 3rd? 4th?

OK. "Canceled out" is the wrong verbiage.

Should a loss to FSU this season exclude a team from the playoff? And if so, why wouldn't any team beaten by BAMA be affected by them losing to FSU??

Depends on how everything finishes out.

It likely can't end this way but, as a hypothetical, if it was 10-2 Miami vs 10-2 Bama for the last spot I'd take Miami.

UGA and the rest of the SEC 100% should be getting dinged a bit for that even though we all know the committee's ESPN overlords will never let it happen.

The entire concept of a committee was quite transparently established to get less SEC teams in the playoffs than it deserves and that's an indisputable fact.

The entire point of the committee is, and always has been, keeping the B1G relevant. The drums started beating for expanded playoff fields and scrapping the BCS when the Bama/LSU rematch occurred. The Legends and Leaders were in the midst of a run getting their noses bloodied by the SEC teams not just in BCSCGs but bowl games, too. Something had to be done. The committee was the answer.

OK.

What if GaTech wins out? Should they miss the playoff because they lost by double digits to a 5-5 ACC team??

You clearly think BAMA should.

BAMA can not end the season 10-2. It is an impossibility.

FSU is not ranked. Get outta here w/that lame Josh Pate mantra of giving them credit for playing a previously ranked team that ended up being mid BS.

That’s not what that poster said at all

FSU loss is a bad loss no matter how anyone wants to try and spin it. If we miss playoffs it will be FSU that kept us out not losing to Oklahoma or whoever we play in SEC Championship Game (if we beat Auburn and not even that is a given)

10-3 isn't a Playoff resume when one of the losses is to a crappy FSU Team. I'd argue no team with 3 losses no matter how they got them should be in playoff unless they are a Conference Champion.

Don't blame us for your next 2 games...Alabama still has a great shot to make it

They will be the top 3-loss team if they lose to the Aggies in the SEC Championship

Win your games, and you are in

There’s getting beat and then there is getting beat ugly. Both of bamas losses are ugly. UGA loss to bama is the other example

I don’t know if losing to another top 15 team by 2 is really getting beat ugly. Especially when you consider 3 turnovers and a missed field goal.

Let’s not forget that Bama needed a miracle comeback and a turnover from SC to beat them

What if you lose to a team at home for the 1st time in almost 6 seasons to a team that lost to an unranked team?

Tennessee has an argument? How?

They got severely beaten in the playoff last year, and haven't really beat anybody this year.

My point simply is Notre Dame's resume is not anymore impressive than Tennessee's.

Tennessee has three losses to Top 10 teams and has won the rest of their games. Notre Dame has two losses to Top 10 teams and has won the rest of their games. Both teams lost every time they played a top tier team. Why should Tennessee be punished for playing more top tier teams than Notre Dame.

Does Tennessee have a legit argument. Not Really. Neither does Notre Dame if you are going by their resume. Notre Dame should be punished for being independent instead of rewarded.

If we win out then we will have won the conference, that’s supposed to be an auto-bid, and we ain’t getting in without winning the ACC imo

Alabama should without question be ranked ahead of ND.

But, it doesn’t matter. Make the SECCG and don’t get blown out and Alabama is in. Nobody behind them will jump them.
