I can't wait for this grad transfer rule to really kick in, and these hotshot players that thought they were going to a good team end up transferring to Bama because they want to win a championship. Like Saban said, this new transfer rule will ultimately help the rich get richer
Yeah, I think the new rule is bullshite. And for all the people that think I'm just mad because we lost a backup lineman, you should stop and think about who is going to recruit graduate transfer players the best. Nick Saban is going to be cherry picking his experienced depth now.

I haven't read all this thread and it may already have been said, but though Alabama will probably lose more transfers than most teams will, UA will also get more really good players than most will. A lot of good players will want to go out with a ring.

well that will hurt the HS recruiting.
ETA and the exodus of bama players who don't think they have a shot of seeing the field.

It's almost comical how many Bama fans have had this silly take. Your program stands more to lose than anyone in the country based on the new direction in transfer rules. And certainly Clemson would be hurt as well, but not to the same extent.
Every 4 and 5 star has one priority... Show out well enough in college to make it to the pros. It's the teams that have stacked their roster with talent that will lose more players to transfer.

That's what they haven't figured out. The kicker is......I would bet money most will go to other SEC schools.

Nice back up player.
With 2 years of eligibility left...with the shape UT's OL is in...that is a huge add.

This isn't the first time something new was suppose to hurt us. Saban will adapt and the train will keep moving, per usual.

I agree Saban is still going to have the top program... Just that at the end of the day, it's not going to help Alabama more than it hurts Alabama.

Yeah...go to bama to sit, but win a ring OR see if a school like a UT will give them a starting spot to have a better shot at the next level. No brainer. Especially if the kid already has a ring for sitting on the nench.
Like it or not, during UTs worse time in history they were still on national stage like very few schools get when doing well. TV broadcasts want/need a strong UT, and the coverage UT has gotten the last 10 yrs proves it.
Great move for this kid.

Everyone is on television these days. Even the shite programs like Tennessee and Kentucky.

So you honestly think some kid would rather sit the bench for bama than see the field for another school?
