Since you were so marvelously and exquisitely adept at proclaiming what 'could have been' and 'should have been' and excuses for Tua, your defense, on-sides kick, 5-point loss and blah blah blah, I'll play:

Start of the 3rd quarter, LSU up 33-13, driving with the ball in alabama territory at the 35. LSU's left guard misses a block on the Bama DE that tipped Burrow's pass just as it was going to be targeted into the chest of Jamarr Chase, and is intercepted.

You are quite lucky that the score wasn't FORTY to THIRTEEN at that juncture, which it easily could have been.

There, see how that works ?????????

I have no idea what the hell you are talking about, or even why you are talking about it.

The discussion was on things Alabama did that lead to the loss. Most Alabama fans blame the defense and I look more towards the offense.

It was called a sack and fumble in box score. All I'm saying is Burrow never lost his footing, he never went down. No doubt it was a forced turnover.

As for the pick right before half. It was a good throw. Receiver was right there. Queen made a good play by undercutting the route and making the int.

dick should have had two personal fouls on int and been tossed from the game. LSU had two players go down on the play. The first was DE R Lawrence. dick took him out at the knees once LSU intercepted the pass. Then dick went after K Vincent way after the play was over.

To me that penalty on dick might have been the biggest play in the game.

It was a stupid throw. Why would you throw a pass into traffic with less than 30 seconds remaining in the half...

No different than Delpit’s cheap shot on Tua in 2018. He also had a near targeting call on Ruggs.

Pretty weird how Delpit went after McKinney in the draft huh. It’s almost like Delpit didn’t deserve his Thorpe award

What does this have to do with Dickerson taking cheap shots?

I'm really glad Tua is gone. He always failed when he couldn't throw to wide open NFL receivers.

48-45 bitch!
Doesn't matter whether the O or the D scored them.

Delpit deserved the Thorpe no doubt. He was robbed of it in '18. That's the year he should have won. J Stevens, LSU's other safety actually had a more productive year in '19 than Delpit. Stevens is back for the '20 season.

And Saban is a defensive guru, hence LSU scoring zero points in the third quarter despite said deficiencies, after some halftime adjustments.

Wait though. Your fellow gumps said injuries were to blame. Which is it? Injuries or coaching?

In the calendar year 2019 Alabama only faced three ranked opponents. They allowed 44,46, & 48 points.

Wasn’t A&M ranked when they played Alabama? But I get your point either way. They’re washed up. If they weren’t returning Smith & Najee Harris they’d be screwed on offense too.

Last three Bama losses had the defense shredded for 44, 46 and 48 points. The obvious question is who puts up 50 this year? Trending.

I like to give Alabama fans shite occasionally, but I think their defense will be really good this year for a few reasons. On the defensive side of the ball, getting Moses back is huge. On the offensive side, I expect an offense that is more friendly to the defense. I am not saying the O will abandon the pass, but I do think they will have greater emphasis on the run game.

Last year was lost in part because of the loss due to injury to the first team defense. Most will be back this fall. The offense line will be one of the best in the country.
We hope to be improved on both sides of the ball.

I think so as well.

There are a few caveats due to current circumstances that may make that more difficult --such as players losing critical practice or game time due to getting quarantines etc. but that is a risk for all programs, I think.
