If the virus had not happened I would feel like we would be in better shape to go a long way. But everyone is in the same boat. How a team handles what is put before them will tell what kind of season they will have.
The normal top 10 teams should have the NC won by one of them. But this year an unknown could win it.

What do those two players career numbers receiving and rushing look like since they arrived at the capstone? Inquiring minds want to know?

Yeah we’d only have Jaylen Waddle and Trey Sanders smh

Waddle went for a grand total of 22 yards against us. Never heard of trey sanders. You’ve gotta do better than that. Saban needs to get back to ground and pound or Najee’s talent will be wasted.

Waddle is the one who returned the punt for a TD and only had 22 yards otherwise because he was like 4th or 5th on the depth chart last year.

Only after being slung out into the open field by the facemask, otherwise he was going the entire other direction.

It's funny because you'll claim grabbing a player by his face mask and jerking him around by it was LSU causing the play to happen. Not that he has crazy balance and agility to survive the penalty and run it back.

And yet at the same time you get all pissy when someone mentions the turnovers by Tua were his fault and not really caused by LSU.

LSU fans got the full blown stupid.

If you think waddle was the #5 WR I would love to know who #4 was?

Could also have something to do with how offenses have evolved since then...

I would general agree with this but some shite offense put up good numbers on that defense last year. For example, UT as anemic as they were on offense moved the ball up and down the field last season. The problem didn't just start last year either. The defense had issues during the 2018 season as well.

Just one example, Arkansas and their QB put up 36 points and over 300 yards passing on UA in 2018. Arkansas was definitely no juggernaut on offense.

The defense "issue" has been ongoing since the close of the 2017 season. I attribute it to mainly to coaching changes, recruiting misevaluations of talent or character, and of course injuries.

Hopefully they can redeem themselves this year with more experience, coaching stability and the return of key players from injury.

Same could be said for LSU and they arguably had more upperclass talent on defense (6 players with 2 #1's) plus you guys were banged up big time at the LB position.

Offensive philosophy is definitely a factor in the performance of the defense.

Yeah but if Alabama had UGA's defense we might have defeated LSU and definitely wouldn't have lost to Auburn.

14 points in that game were scored by Auburn's defense.

You don't get to play that card after LSU fans had to constantly hear about Vandy and 38 despite them also scoring 2 TDs on defense.

Damn y’all gave up 2 TDs to Vandy’s defense?

At least Auburn’s defense held Burrow and co to 23 points so they were pretty good. But giving up two TDs to Vandy?

What does Georgia need to do to not get their arse kicked by South Carolina again?
