Why hell yes! You see friend, until we play a NFL type playoff in college (and don't tell me that the regular season is one long playoff), all of college football is one big popularity contest between good teams but never,do we crown a true champion like the NFL does.
All of bama's 13 titles are MYTICAL just like everyone else's. It is time we all pushed to form an equitable playoff system, integrating all conferences and the BCS. No reason I can think of for this not to happen.
LSU? Are they really the best team just because they have a goose egg under the loss column? Maybe, but maybe not. Who's to say Wisconsin with two losses would not nail them in a game.
Alabama may or may not deserve a rematch. But to those folks who want to keep bama out because they hate the SEC, well now thats just wrong.
Additionally, who says LSU does not want to play bama again. By the price of the tickets on stubhub, I would say there are quite a lot of people wanting to see this game.

That being said voting and computers has always been a stupid way to pick a champion. That is why people want a playoff. I don't really understand all of the support for a team that lost their last game to Iowa State. Everyone saw them get exposed and they're acting like OSU has really stepped up and earned it.

Well I suppose it is because they're up in 4 of the 6 computer polls and getting almost every 2nd place vote in the Harris and Coaches polls.
It isn't even like the voters think it's close. The voters are almost 100% against you. When everyone disagrees with you except LSU fans, then you might want to start thinking if your outrage is based on an agenda.

Under the BCS rules, if Alabama is #2 in the final BCS poll before the bowl games, then they are in the NCG. Under this system, the voters and the computers decide who is deserving. IF they choose Bama as #2, that's life.
You're coming off as someone who is incredibly concerned about having to play the only team that has challenged LSU this year a second time. You sound scared. Are you scared?

Why are you so concerned about playing UA should be the real question. All I have seen for weeks are fans such as yourself lobby one week for Stanford, next for Oregon, and next for OSU. UA fans may have been lobbying but not nearly as mush as people like yourself whoi is lobbying not to play UA. Your OP infers you are worried. And even if we had a playoff it would still be UA vs LSU in NOLA and what would your excuse be then for not wanting to play UA.
Also based on your theory a 1 loss UA would not deserve to go over a 2 or 3 loss conference winner. You need to wake up and look outside for some reality.
The fact is as a true LSU fan you should not be concerned with who you play or how any system picked the teams involved. Quit your crying, support your team, and enjoy whoever you play against.
If not go find a tissue and sry somewhere else. Because every thread like this that gets started is just another example of insecurity by a fan.

So if every game is a playoff, then doesn't losing to Iowa State seem like a game that knocks you out of the playoff. On the flip side of what you're arguing, laying an egg against a bad team meant nothing if they play in the BCS game.

Does it really matter if we play Bama in the dome?
LSU has gotten so much better since 11/5 it's crazy. The way this team has developed since then, I feel like we can take on anyone, regardless of who they are.
Whoever we play, I feel the score will not be close. No other team is as conditioned for high level play this year as LSU. No one's strength of schedule comes close to ours. And each time, LSU has come out on top.
They can bring on whoever, and I know LSU will take care of business. Besides, once again, the nation will discount our chance to win vs. Bama anyway. Our motivation to be great will be what it always has been: Respect.
