You should be if you are being intellectually honest about it

If they make it to #2, then yes. Sure, I will be disappointed and it will suck, but that's the system.

If we have to beat Bama twice to prove we're the better team, fine. Bring em on.

Adding to this, who gives a shite how any fan feels about playing another team? We don't play the fricking games. It would be interesting though to pose the question "Are you afraid of playing Alabama?" to the people who do count—the guys who suit up in purple and gold. I imagine you'd get some colorful answers.

So you're agreeing that should Georgia beat LSU that LSU should not play for the crystal ball or should they be given a "do over" b/c they didn't win their conference?

Now let's hear tour homerism response.

How do you know?

Because Alabama has dominated every team on their schedule winning by the absurd average winning margin of 30 points a game. Their one hiccup was by 3 in OT to the consensus #1 team. This was against a schedule that included 7 bowl eligible teams vs 8 bowl eligible teams on Okie State's schedule.

If you're so mad at the rules of the system we all adhere to, then if you beat Bama IF we rematch you... then don't count the win as a national championship.

#1 vs #2 = NC game.

Not that you care about ANYTHING other than escaping this game matchup.

I can't think of a better reason than being ranked 2nd in the BCS.

so by your logic, there should be no MNC game played this year, because the best has already been determined?

Another sterling point.

I've heard zero -logical- arguments against the re-match. I've only heard laughable homeristic hopeless rants to avoid what's obvious to everyone that isn't a "bad" LSU fan.

The players aren't scared but some LSU fans on here reek of fear.

doesn't matter if i'm fine with it, like it doesn't matter if you're fine with it if alabama makes it.

it's the system both of our schools have agreed to play under. it is what it is.

that's for sharing your homer feelings but they aren't logical for a National Championship. Why did we play all these game all year long? To give Alabama a do over for losing at home in OT. come on now...

Do you think its fair that if LSU loses and VA Tech/OSU win their conference that LSU will still be in the game? Would you complain that you don't deserve it for not winning the conference? Of course you wouldn't. You would point back to a dominating season.

It is really hard not to put faith in the scared argument anymore. People don't bitch about something not being fair if it doesn't matter. If Bama was a free win, then people wouldn't care about playing them again. Woohoo the bear is dead and we're gonna beat you down with piss balloons.

Everyone already knows the BCS isn't a good system. The BCS is designed to be a two team playoff or championship. If you lose, then the regular season doesn't mean anything. I know it sucks but it sucks to lose a championship in any sport. Regular season is great but it doesn't mean you can choke in the big one no matter who you play.

Bama is ranked number 2 in the BCS formula. The coaches and harris poll members think they're the number 2 team. That is a fairly logical argument.

I can see it's a big deal to some of you out there. Anyway, tune in on Saturday and cheer for us. You can then hope for the privilege to play the nation's #1 team as well as SEC Champion.

We need to get over the deserve thing, because if we lose to UGA (which won't happen) then we still go to the NC, which brings us to the whole not winning your conference thing...
Just because Bama's schedule is weak doesn't make them any better or worse, they are still a really really good football team. Of course it sucks that they don't have to play an extra game and we beat them at home...but I don't see any other team more deserving..Bama took care of business like everyone else couldn't do.

Both fan bases know that Bama and LSU are the two best teams...even ESPN admits it. Now let's go win the SEC and bring home the crystal by whipping ole snufalufagus in NO!!

that's the point. Thats exactly whats going on.

Now it will be interesting to see the homerism responses. Forget about body of work and all that crap....if you dont win your conference, why should LSU be given a do over.

Everyone else lost to mediocre teams. Bama did not. I won't lie. Alabama is the beneficiary of the process of elimination. Bama is simply the best of a bad situation. I will take it.
