I have no idea what "Bob's victory grill" is but it sounds trashy. Not surprised to hear it was full of trashy people.

This is true. Each person is judged individually. But as a whole, the bama fanbase is pretty low, specifically because it is not just a few bama fans. It is a shitload of them that let football run their lives and try and live through it to an unhealthy level that causes problems.

There's no doubt it's happened, but assigning blame to them being Alabama fans, therefore they're crazy isn't appropriate either. I think they were just mentally unstable to begin with.
That said, winners usually attract that type of mentally unstable person because the team winning allows them to feel better about their shitty lives. When the team they've identified loses (particularly in a fashion that gets played over and over) it can cause the crazy to really come out.
TL;DR Alabama fans are not crazy, winning attracts crazies who become Alabama fans.
