I have been to Bama games since 1945, excluding the 1950's when I was in the military. I only make about one a year since we moved to SC about 5 years ago. I will confess, however, that I have never worn a houndstooth hat or carried the toilet paper and detergent "badge of honor."

I've been to around 175 or so. Probably been to around 30 LSU games too.

Can you call yourself a true fan if you've never been to a game of the team your cheer for?

I know its expensive to go to an SEC game, but when an SEC team plays FIU, UTC, Tenn Tech, Troy, etc. you can easily scalp a ticket or two for very cheap.

And if you are a fan of Vandy you have absolutely no excuse. Most of their home games turn into a home game for the opponent because they can never sell their allotment of tickets.

Boy, I bet you were sick over that waste of money. I hope you got to at least see some sights while you were out there.

For that game to have started so sweet (Milons return for TD) it sure ended up badly.

I think we should ban houndstooth. It was ok when the twins wore it, but then everybody else started and its just overkill.

By the way, if those girls weren't twins would anybody give a shite about them, very average.

The most highly opinionated and most passionate are normally the ones who have never been to a game, have no clue what a ticket cost, and Lord knows they never attended the University.

This is the case in Arkansas anyway.

Try to remove the 2 games a year from Little Rock, replace a coach, or whatever "university related" issue it might be, and 500,000 morons crawl out of the woodwork with their asinine opinions.

On the flip side it's great for merchandise sales but I would venture to say 90% of the people wearing Arkansas merchandise couldn't tell you ONE team on the schedule, the conference we play in, or the name of more than one coach.

I agree 100% with the responses of woopig and AUcatfish. LSU fans fall into this category too. Go to tiger rant and one idiot started a thread about when LSU will ever get the heismann. I bet that guy attends or attended LSU and personally knows Billy Cannon.

I'm a student, so every home game.

And A-Day, and not because it was free. If I had to have paid, I would have. The off-season SUCKS.

Yeah, Billy Cannon the convicted felon who buried his fake money in his backyard. I'll never understand how somebody is successful on the professional level and can resort to doing crap like making illegal money.

Everyone knows that professional athletes don't get paid very well, they have to tighten their belts and often resort to less-than-awesome ways of making money.

elleshoe,
you do know that CPA is back, right? You don't have to fill his daily quota of bama threads anymore

I usually stick to Ole Miss and I think I'll revert back. They get their panties in a wad with a lot less effort on my part.

Went to every home and away game while I was a student at Alabama, from 2001-2005 (except the Hawai'i games). Made it to at least two games a year since graduating.

This is a really stupid argument. The majority of fans for all SEC teams have probably never been to a game.

Agree, what the hell does attending a game have to do with being a fan. It doesnt mean you are more of a fan if you've been to a game, it just means you went. OP = Fail

(I've been to plenty)

I've been to a few games, but not many. First one was when I was a little kid. If I had been able to afford a ticket and get down there, I would have been to several in the last 6-7 years. But things just haven't fallen into place for me to be able to.

Let's see...I graduated in the summer of 2000 and became a Tide Pride member that same year. I've gone to every home game since 1999 and a lot of the away games. Went to Pasadena in 2000 (had a blast even though we lost cause I met Beyonce and got rub elbows with a lot of other celebrities thru a connection). I've gone to USCe twice(won 1, lost 1), went to Miss St once, Was in Tenn when we broke that streak (think it was a 7 or 9 game streak). Was in Jacksonville when we lost to Fla. St. 2 years ago. I haven't gone to Baton Rouge, Fayetteville, or Athens yet unfortunately. I really wanna go to Baton Rouge...I hear you guys know how to have a good time. Was at our SECCG in 1999, and last year. At Sugar Bowl last year to eye witness that Was in Miami at Orange Bowl in 2000 (damn Ryan Phlugner sp? ) Caught the Athletic faculty bus to Jordan Hare in 1999(w), 2001(w) and 2007(L). But I've definately gone to every home game in Legion Field and BDS since 1999. I've had to call in sick for work several times, and break up with a girlfriend but I've been in the house!!! BDS SEC GG Row 15 Seats 13 & 14 (50 yard line baby)....MY DAMN SEATS!!!!!
