You beat us fair and square.

Your coach is getting older and the fire in the belly will burn out soon.

And what goes around, comes around.

Also, I honestly think that McCarron is a very good QB and he will be a great player.

Look forward to playing you next year with Mett and boys.

Same story we were told in 2007. And 2008. And 2009. And 2010. And 2011.

We're enjoying it while we can. Hopefully when Saban leaves we'll be able to pull a coach that can be as successful as Coach Miles has been at sustaining someone else's body of work.

Saban can't sustain a program, only build. The end is near for Bama.

Did you really just say that?

Not a matter of wishing, it will happen, ya'll fooling yourselves if you think that Saban will retire at Bama. McCarron(and the D) was the key in that game as well, no doubt about it, avoiding the pass rush, making unbelievable passes right on the spot.

What does "soon" mean? I haven't seen any signs of Saban losing his "fire" yet. I am sure it will eventually happen though. So, how long do we have? 1 year, 3 years, 5 years? I'd take 2 more National Championships in the next 5 years and then Saban retiring to the lake.

ETA: He did smile more after this BCSCG than he did 2 years ago - is that a sign he is losing the fire?

Thread should be titled: Nightly prayers of all college football fans besides Bama.

I agree.

Will surely happen one of these days.

So you think we win another NC next year? See, I think we lose a least 3 next year due to a young defense. But, who knows?

LSU's defense certainly made him look good. I'm not quite sold on him being a "great player" just yet. We don't even know who our next OC will be.

I'm looking forward to it as well. I always enjoy my trips to BR.

Saban was asked about retirement after the game. His reply:

"Does a guy who screams and yells about a 5 yrd offsides penalty with 3 minutes to go in the game up by 21 points sound like someone who is ready to retire to you"
