I don't assume a win against any good team, and LSU is a good team. If I had to bet, I'd bet on Bama, but they could certainly lose.

I break games down into four categories.

1) Can't win
2) Could win
3) Should win
4) Will win

We haven't had a "Can't win" game in a while. For the past few years, I've had the LSU game as a "could win" given the parity between the two. This year, I've almost moved it up to a "should win" mostly based on our offense and LSU's lack of it.

Definitely not a "will win".

A good example of "will win" is the Auburn game this year.

No. But most feel that if we protect the ball and don't commit a rash of penalties, we'll be extremely difficult to beat. LSU's struggles on offense just reinforce those feelings.

LSU is plenty good to win every game they play.

Im gonna be happy for the win...This is a rivarly but I just dont think there is a chance in hell they win..Their defense is legit, but their offense is probably amongst the worst in the nation...If they score over 6 points Im gonna be disappointed...I think we win this 1 EASILY..........but hey thats why you play the game

Not chalking it up as a victory but I'm minimally confident. LSU has a good team and the game could easily go their way. The reason I think we'll pull it off is because even though I think they can go toe to toe with us without a problem their defense is going to be asked to do a little too much. The offense will be so ineffective they'll put the defense in a bad situation 1 time too many. Mett will need to have a really really good game and from watching previous games I wouldn't bet that it's going to all of a sudden happen saturday. But hey...it's football. It could. I just hope it's a injury free game and we continue to show the world why the SEC is the best conference in the world.

Nope. Playing against a talented team in a hostile stadium is never "chalked up".

I am actually more worried about this game than any other over the past few years. LSU is a dangerous team. Great players on both sides of the ball. I feel they have stumbled this year because they have been so focused on beating Alabama. I think the whole year for LSU comes down to Saturday. Can't wait to get down there though. Even though I am an A&M / Alabama guy I love Saturday nights in Tiger Stadium.

Not chalking it up as a victory. Feel good about our team. Feel concerned about the environment they'll be playing in and the talent on the other sideline (very, very talented LSU team).

Matchups:
Bama D vs. LSU O: Bama wins this one by about 13 points
LSU D vs. Bama O: LSU wins this one by about 4 points
Special teams: Draw
Coaching: I recognize that 11/5 happened. So did 1/9. I say Bama by 2 points.
Death Valley: worth 7 points.

I think Bama wins by slightly better than a FG.

Bama - 17
LSU - 13

That said, I would not be stunned if LSU won this game. I expect it to be very close.

Yes. Of the handicapping services I subscribe to, I've yet to find a handicapper that's picking LSU to win. A few are picking them to cover the spread, but not many. I was more concerned about Tennessee, and am more concerned about Texas A&M than this game.

Yeah I'm confident. Your offense, play calling, and the point spread doesn't give me any reasons not to be. Bama's smoked every team they've played. AJ's on fire. The OL is full of AA's. the D is stacked. Saban is, well Saban. Still, shite happens sometimes though.

No, and if you're looking for any Alabama fan who seriously is, you're probably going to be disappointed.

Still not sure how good we are.

Like one writer put it last week, we have yet to be punched in the mouth. Not sure how we'll face adversity when faced with it.

No doubt we'll see it on Saturday just pulling into town.

well... i mean, if we were squeaking past the teams we played i might be more inclined to politically align myself with this thinking. but, we are good. we are -damn- good.. and in all fairness, probably the best in the land again!
