I'm more worried about a Gary Crowton offense quarterbacked by Jordan Jefferson than I am about Jerry Jones.

Exactly. You really think Saban and Jerry Jones could get along? The first time Saban benched one of Jerry's experiments, it would be a sight to see.
I have 4 "worries" involving Saban:
1. He can't give up the game and Alabama ends up with a coach wearing diapers on the sidelines like Bowden or Paterno.
2. Some stress/anxiety related issue pops up Urban Meyer style that forces a too early retirement.
3. Notre Dame
4. West Virginia
The man loves a challenge and I think he will get bored if we keep winning like this. That would be the only reason he might try the NFL again. I suppose I have to admit though, that if he went to the NFL, it would probably be the Cowboys if he could contractually get Jerry Jones to back off. He would be possibly considered a top 5 coach of all time in any sport to win national titles at 2 NCAA schools as well as a Super Bowl.

I see what you did there.

For all those who think Saban will not go back to the NFL I just want you to know you don't know how Nick Saban thinks and works.
He has no interest in repeating the Miami Dolphin's fiasco and he won't. His failure in Miami and how it all ended eats at him every day he thinks about it. Since Jerry Jones has had Bill Parcells as coach he knows exactly what he is dealing with in Nick Saban. Jerry Jones is the best salesman of all the NFL coaches. If he wants Nick Saban it's as good as done. Saban would love to take over the very high profile Dallas Cowboy franchise and win a Super Bowl. Sound familiar???
TenTex, we know you're desperate for your team to accomplish something in the west again, but hell, you're just coming off as pathetic now. Your like that crazy stalker bitch that a guy dates for a little while, tht still remains obsessed and believes she knows everything about the guy and that they were "perfect" together. Its really kinda disturbing.

I just want to know why Jerry Jones thinks Romo is such a good qb. Dude sucks.

Eh, Jones has at times showed he's willing to take a back seat, did it with Parcells, Jones. Its not inconceivable that it could happen.

I seriously doubt that he would go back to the NFL. He was told before he went to the Dolphins that it was not the same league he was in before. It was fairly obvious he did not like it.
On the other hand, he like every other coach has an ego the size of Texas (excuse the pun) and at some point he might get and itch that only succeding in the NFL can scratch.
All in all, seems to be these days in the SEC you have 2 different coaching scenarious, fans of a team afraid of not keeping a coach, and fans afaraid of keeping a coach. Which one would you rather be in?

CNS would be crazy to work for that lunatic.
He'd be better off working for Al Davis.
I think college football is right where Saban wants to be.

Bama Fans - You Gettin' Nervous?
Rumor has it Jerry Jones is making a special trip to Ar-Kansas to formally introduce himself to Lil' Nicky and his checkbook.
Bama Fans, welcome to our former world!!!
I'd like a flow chart of the process to generate such a dumb post. You would think their would be a revision or delete node in there somewhere. Anyway good effort LSUCPA.

Look at where he is and you have to think this is the total package for him. In the SEC, tradition rich program (if that matters to him) in the south (like west VA) close to his lake home and so on.
The more I think about it, I do not think that Saban is a big time glitz and glamor guy, seriously, do you see him embracing southbeach?

Funny thing about that is the south florida media had pretty much turned on him by Oct / Nov. He was being critised a lot, questioned, and there were rumblings he should be fired. The Fins were going backwards and he was losing the team. Then in December the rumors start and at first people lauged at the rumors and said frick it, maybe he will leave, he sucks anyway. Then when the rumors picked up steam, most got on board with wanting him to stay.
Then of course we all know the negativity that exploded when he left.

All I know is, when Saban says to the press that he is NOT going to coach for the cowboys, bama better start looking for their next coach!!

Granted, it is a flame post, but it is not totally out of line for these rumors to circualte. He just won his 2nd NC with a 2nd school, has a history of leaving and is arguably the top coach in college football right now.

Rumor has it
not one of my favorites
I would have liked:
My roomates girlfriends brother works with a guy who is neighbors with Nick Saban, and the neighbor accidently got Sabans mail right. So he opened up his phone bill by mistake and there like 7 calls from a dallas area code. He also hacked Saban's computer by connecting to his router, and found an email from Expedia confirming his flight search for the Dallas area. Im not saying its a done deal, but dont be suprised if Nicky is gone by end of the season.... BOOK IT.

He didn't. He kept to himself, was an arse to everybody, and was never seen in public. He was born and raised a country guy and I do not think the Big City and glitz is his thing.
