If I'm being honest, I would not want to see Scott Cochran go. More valuable than any OC or DC we've had in Saban's tenure.

Can attest to this. Bama fans were terrible in 2008. It didn't even matter that it took the worst Auburn team besides the 2012 for that to finally end the streak.

You act like they squeaked by "the worst Auburn team besides 2012". Bama beat AU 36-0 in 2008 (and 49-0 in 2012, and it could've been worse).

It wasn't about simply ending the streak. It was the way the streak was ended and the obvious signs all around the program that special things were about to happen again. You act like it was all about beating AU, but it was about so much more (although some of it certainly was about beating AU)

1. NCAA investigation

2. AU getting stronger and more consistent. We have typically won 1, lost 2 against saban since he has been there. We have averaged a recruiting class around #10 since 2007. If we put together 2-3 top 5 class in a 3 or 4 year period (this is doubtful, but if we did), gumps would be worried.

That works both ways. Auburn wasn’t exactly beating great Alabama teams from 2002-2007.

Is this LSU Bamacession an envy thing? Because we all envy Bama's titles and recruiting classes and to some extent their HoF and Museum and The Bear and Wade Wallace and all that ... now Saban, The REC, ... but LSU fans, you have so much to be thankful for. And Coveting is one of the really bad deadly sins.

Imagine it this way... You are in an amazing relationship, with a gorgeous woman and things have never been better. You guys even win the lottery once together.

Then one day she decides to dump you and move on. Then a little after that she decides to marry that total a-hole down the street that you can hardly stand. You get to watch them have a long extended version of the relationship that you had, except it's even better than you could have imagined when you were together. And then, you get to watch them win the lottery five times over. One of those times they cut in front of you in line at the store, took a dollar from you and won on the ticket that you would have bought.

Think there might be any resentment if you had to live through that?

Why would we be concerned about something that has never happened in your history? AU has bee a very strong program forever, but consistency has never been your friend.

There is always a poster like this every year from the barn. We are getting better and when we do watch out Bama fans will freak out, LOL. This stuff cracks me up as this person has fallen for the cult, hook line and sinker.

Everything since 2009 has been gravy train as far as I'm concerned. I'll be grinning for years after this ride is over.

I agree with this. Also, the 2008 Auburn wasn’t that bad. The offense had a chaotic and ridiculous start with the Tony Franklin fiasco, but people forget we lost four games by 5 points or less. We damn near beat LSU and Georgia and should have beaten Vanderbilt. Even the West Virginia and Alabama games were reachable going into the 2nd half (AU led WVU 17-10 at halftime and Bama was up 10-0 in the 3rd quarter).
