Do you see any dropoff with LD on the sideline?
Yes. Dickerson got hurt after 11 games.
And this rat frick OSU gets in with 6.
The CFP committee has lost all credibility.

Bama has the bigger TE they send in sometimes.
Do you think he will get more snaps to help in run game? He may actually be a tackle, but I don’t recall the name.
I think you are talking about Kendall Randolph. He actually switches his number during the game between playing OT and TE. He has actually played a lot this year in our short yardage packages. I suspect he will continue to play in that same roll.

What role will Waddle have?
Is he healed up?
Waddle probably won't even suit up in the ND game, and he sure as heck won't play. We'll see about the NC game, but I honestly would be shocked to see him play even in that game. I personally think he really should just concentrate on getting ready for the NFL combine, but what do I know.

I think Book is criminally underrated. And he's really effective at buying time. But I just don't think his receivers are good enough to win matchups against Bama's secondary. He consistently was able to buy time against Clemson, but receivers just couldn't get open. Unless Bama turns the ball over a few times, I can't really see this being that close.

My personal opinion is the dropoff will be worse than any player we've lost so far this year, and it isn't close.
Sux to only play 5 games then 1 more (tOSU) against an all white inferior team to slide into the playoffs fresh and full strength. I'd love to play tOSU at our full strength. They need a 10 game SEC schedule to prove they are what they think they are.
I still like Bama's chances to win it all.

He's played admirably when L.D.'S needed a spell or after Bama had the game on lockdown. So, I guess will just have to wait and see! My thoughts are there may be communication problems at first, but then everything will settle down and they'll be fine.
Next year, actually after Christmas we will have the no 1. Center in the nation in the fold. Everything's going to be aight!

quote:I think you stated their situation well. Book is not the limitation, it's their outside guys. IMO, Bama actually did a decent defensive job vs UF, but they have some exceptional guys who made many good and great plays. It's simply impossible to stop a well executed offensive play. Bama sacked Trask 5 times, 4 with 4 man rush, 1 with 3 man rush. Bama had much more success rushing 3 and dropping 8 into coverage. ND will not likely make as many plays as UF. ND kind of lost heart when they got nothing out of those 2 trips to the red zone early. Did little after that.

I completely agree. Florida's skill guys are substantially better than ND's. I do think ND's defense is better than Florida. But nowhere near good enough to stop Bama's offense. In my opinion it will take a flawless game from Book, along with a few Bama turnovers for ND to have a chance to win.

I agree. They went empty set and air raided. We tried to bracket and funnel but some of those guys (Pitts and Toney) are making plays and completely covered. Just is what it is.
Clemson doesn’t have those kind of play makers, they have Etiane and number 3, not sure his name.

A QB that was not even good enough for Alabama is leading a team to a possible playoffs while the best player LSU has ever had is no where to be seen
So I am thinking the backup is fine

He’s an experienced backup. It is what it is. We’ll soon find out.

This thread made it all the way here without someone acting like an arse and just talking football and you had to come in and screw that up.

I could have left out the "all white" comment, but it just shows the athletic advantage tOSU had in the game. They still didn't overwhelm Northwestern.
Northwestern reminds me of Vanderbilt, without a few playmakers.
Now if the game were decided on academic standards it may have been a different outcome, but much more boring to watch.

They'll probably go with Owens, but if necessary, they can shift Ekiyor to center, Neal to RG, and put Owens at RT (which he played against Arkansas).
