It is obvious you have never stepped foot in Tuscaloosa.
I’m honestly puzzled on what part of town you’re referring to, and why you would have spent time there. The heart of the city, between basically McFarland, 15th Street, and the river, is overall prettier, has better and more historic architecture, better bars, and generally has more things for college kids to do than what Auburn has to offer. Tuscaloosa has a music scene, Auburn does not. One of the few fun places to go in Auburn, Moes BBQ, is owned by a bunch of bammers. Auburn would be a better place to raise a family but it is a decentralized, cookie cutter suburb without soul. I can’t think of any metric where a football recruit would pick Auburn the city over Tuscaloosa. Just a weird angle, man.

Surely LSU is easily going to have a winning record in the next several years to a program that just got blown up, right? Right???
I’d not go that far. It won’t be easy.
But What’s surely going to happen tho is that LSU will now face a team that recruits two or three less 5* every year. A team that doesn’t have a roster that’s two deep with 5* players.
LSU will now face a team that every now and then will make an unforced error that they can possibly capitalize on.
LSU will now face a Bama team that’s comparable to any other top 10 team… which is to say they’re solid, but they’re mortal. You can actually make an error or two and have a chance.
LSU will now face a team that won’t get 80% of controversial calls going their way, and who might even have a holding called against them now and then. Said holding call may even come at a time where it really matters. Imagine that.
The road to Atlanta isn’t guaranteed to pass through Tuscaloosa anymore, tho it likely will at a frequency compatible to that of several other cities.
LSU, and the rest of college football now gets a fair chance.

Just curious, was there a game played that makes children like you beat your chest over with Alabama? Did you win some offseason title of some sort? You are the puss that ran from the board for days after an LSU loss.

No, but you know that a huge chunk of these threads aren’t for legitimate discussion about this story. They’re simply for trolling and sh*tposting. When there are hundreds of threads started about Alabama for that purpose, that indicates some obsession.

How do you figure? so far, Bama has upgraded at every single position, minus Nick Saban, of course. Now they will beat Georgia by 60, Kirby does not have an original idea in his head. All he does is get sins sloppy seconds, his staff is full of them. But I would be pissed too if I was 1-5 against Bama

Think you may have gone off script a bit. This doesn’t quite have the sound of Bama’s program being “blown up,” having 4 losses every year, or firing our new coach after year 3. There isn’t a single Bama fan (excluding alters) that thinks the next coach will have half the success Saban did, partly due to it being a more difficult CFB landscape overall. We get that the gap at the top will be smaller in the years to come.
As a Bama alum, it’s actually quite entertaining to listen to all the hyperbole from other fan bases! Lots of ignorance, fear, hopes, dreams, etc. being released on the board right now and it’s very satisfying to know how deep the wounds were.
Should be a fun 4-5 years going forward. If Bama wins a NC, the melt here will be glorious. If they don’t, the melt on the Bama board will be strong.

There’s no script for me. There’s no reason Bama should drop off to anything less than the equivalent of teams like UT, LSU, UGA, etc. and that ain’t a bad place to be…. If you’re a rational Bama fan, that is.
When you say “half the success”, what does that mean? Three titles in 17 years, should he last that long? Losing 3 games a year vs the average of 1.5 per year under Saban?
Because that’s where Bama is headed. Again, it’s not a bad thing for a rational fan. But get ready for it. Other than history, playing Bama will be no different than playing Ohio St, LSU, UGA, Mich, etc. Rosters will be equivalent, coaching will be equivalent, presumably officiating will be equitable, no more “eyeball tests” for free passes into the playoffs.
Saban afforded many privileges that will no longer be there.

And yet the roster is still more talented than every team outside of Georgia. Who Alabama owns
