Since this board is nothing but an LSU/Florida flame fest, and I'm bored at work, let's get this shite started. Let's try to keep this troll free. I'll berate anyone that gumps it up on our side
I have a few questions for the hawgs.
How do you think Bert will attack us offensively. I know Allen is good, but who are your playmakers to watch out for?
What do you think the defensive gameplan will be to stop or offense? Will y'all run a man coverage, or a zone?

No one cares.
We have a hurricane controversy on our hands
(Alabama -13 is the lock of the year)

Just want to say Bama owes us a solid. Just throwing it out there

My question is can Arkansas' defensive line hold up to Alabama?

Here's what I posted in the other thread:
Our OLine just isn't coming together like I hoped, and Bama is #1 at stuffing the run. We're going to be be forced into passing with little to no run game which is just dangerous. I see a lot of 3 and outs on our end, which doesn't fit well with Bert Ball, and frankly, I don't know if we have the horses and depth on Defense to keep up with that type of tempo.
On a positive note, AA is coming into his own, and the team looks to him as a leader. Having the game at home certainly helps, but in the end, the negatives outweigh the positives - in my shitty opinion

My hope is that we pass first to ease some of the tension on the run but I'm not so sure we will. If we have success offensively it will mainly come from our WRs imo. Drew Morgan, Keon Hatcher and Jared Cornelius

Obviously stopping your run is going to be the most important aspect to start the game. Don't expect much blitzing from us. Oh and please don't run any QB reads

I agree.... Take the money and run.

Our line has been inconsistent. When they are gelling, I don't think any dl can hold up. But Cam Robinson has had an average season, and our center isn't Ryan Kelly.
I think it'll be a battle in the trenches, with us eventually taking over towards the end. Though I don't know much about the Arky DL.

Eh, I think the better question is if our Oline will vs their DL

Our only hope will be through controlling TOP. If we can't control that, our DLine may get gassed

We've been running a lot more man this year than we usually do. I imagine we're going to press and trust the DL to pressure/contain Hurts.

The real question is our OL against the Bama DL. Bama will destroy our OL.

He will most likely try to get a power run game going, unsuccessfully. If we can't get anything going in the run game by half, I expect to open it up and go air raid rest of the way with some draws/screens mixed in. To mitigate pass rush and our liability on the OL, I'd look for more quick passes with the hope our guys can make people miss. We have a handful of WR's who can make plays, but the question is whether Allen can get it to them before getting stuck.

Last year our OL got better over the year. They were getting zero push against Toledo and by the end of the year were very solid. I'm hoping that's the case again this year.

I would rather us try to throw instead of run since we don't have much of a shot at getting the running game going but I know Bielema will try to. We have a very good group of WRs/TEs but Hatcher is questionable for this game and he would be a big loss.
Our OL is in bad shape though so we'll throw the kitchen sink at trying to protect Allen. I would expect us to pass pretty well in the first half but eventually your DL will start getting to Allen and we'll struggle to move the ball. We did a good job at not taking sacks against A&M but there was constant pressure on Allen and the sack they did get was a forced fumble that they recovered inside our own 20 that pretty much sealed the game in the 4th quarter.

Very true. We were playing completely different ball, and improving week after week
