Bama allegedly has a world-class OL, but what about its RBs?

Clearly, Lacy is not in the same league (and I don't mean the NFL) with Richardson and Ingram. If Lacy gets injured, what is the quality of their replacement RBs?

T.J. Yeldon is a stud
Dee Hart ain't too bad either

They are plenty good enough.

I think they have two 5-stars behind Lacy.
plus with
you don't necessarily need Trent toting the rock to be effective.

wrong board...but I will say they are stacked at RB as well.
They have Fowler behind Lacy who is 240+, then a solid recruit TJ Yeldon from Daphne.
I do not think they are going to have issues here.

Lacy may not be an Ingram/Richardson type of player, but I wouldn't trade our group of backs.
1-Lacy
2-Fowler
3-Hart(5-star)
4-Yeldon(5-star)
5-Drake

1st String - Eddie Lacy is no real drop off from either Ingram or Richardson. So you're a moron if you think he's not in their league. Yes he had a higher yardage per carry than either, but it was usually against a tired defense, but.... His turf toe will be fine by fall. He's the real deal...
2nd string - Jalston Fowler will be used as a fullback and tight end sometimes to get him more time as he's a bruising running back that scares the BG's out of his own team mates. William Vlachos, the center who's just graduated once said in an interview, "If he's supposed run through a hole you're supposed to make and there isn't one, he'll run over you and the guy that didn't let you make one, so you damn sure better make one."
3rd String - Interesting to see who gets the carries, Yeldon is built more like and runs more like Richardson and Dee Hart is the "Scat Back" who may not run over you, but if he gets into space, forget it, he's gone. Hart may be a better receiver out of the backfield and could be used some in slot.
That's the top four and there's others that can play and do fine behind this line... I'm almost 55 years old and I could avg. over 5 yds a carry behind this bunch for at least two carries... (G)

We don't have a 3-star dragging our backfield down.

GTFO. By this standard, Lacy should atleast make it to NY to be a finalist. Thread bookmarked.

The three star might be the best of the bunch

And we don't need world-class RBs to be a good running team, not with that offensive line. What we need are good RBs and we've got those. Glen Coffee was by no means an amazing talent in 2008. He just ran behind what was more than likely the best offensive line in all America. He gained 1,300 yards behind those big uglies.
