I think it was too early to extend....... he hasn't shown anything in the two years that deserved an extension! His teams look soft and with no run game at all !!! Now with this extension, we are going to live or die with this guy!!! What if he drops to 7-4 for the next two years......!!!

good point. You'd think bama would be smart enough to spend the money on the roster, but if they are putting out fires just retaining a coach...I don't blame him though. I'd want out of that pressure cooker as fast as possible and head back to the cozy confines of the big 10. They have more money up there than Bama anyway.

Except Elko has been recruiting lights out, has developed talent to be first round talent and went 11-1 in his second year. Alabama however was given major benefit for even making it to the playoffs. That benefit will wane with continued downward trajectory.
