I wish we would stay number 2. But by the time the SEC title game gets here if UGA and Bama are undefeated still, this will be flip flopped, and Saban will lose an additional motivational tool.

Not really, and Bama at # 2 is OK. Bama showed a bunch by beating a strong FSU team top start the year, but FSU's team is not even close to that FSU team that showed up to start the season. Since the lost of their QB, and after losing a few more games, FSU has packed it in. Now, other CFB programs (Georgia being one of them) have better OCC wins this season. Bama just needs to worry about winning and all that other stuff will take care of itself.
Not 100% sure, but historically, Bama has had better national title luck from #2 position during regular season before title games.
